SUMMARY;
I have rendered services in the Dairy social, corporate and public sectors for more than 16 years. In the
Dairy development sector provided services in seven major Pakistan National Livestock and Dairy
Development projects of international repute funded by USAID, Care International, DFID and CAFOD
etc.
I have passed the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and the degree of MSc (Hons) in
Rural Development.
There are several reasons for applying for the job. First is that; I have 16 years of professional relevant
experience in the Dairy and Livestock sector and 18 years relevant professional education and qualified
in the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicin (DVM) and in the degree of MSc (Hons) Rural
Development. Secondly; Know about all the technical aspects of Dairy development and Livestock
project management due to the experience, education, trainings and exposure. Third reason is that’ I
have attended many Microsoft office courses and know about projects corporate linkages development,
administrative and financial rules.
In 2001; joined Leads Pharma (Formerly Vety Care Pharma) based in Karachi as Livestock “Technical
Sales Officer in the Karachi and Sindh Dairy sector. In 2004; joined the Livestock Department KPK-
extension as Veterinary Officer (H). In 2006; started working in the USAID funded $28 million ILED
(RI) as Livestock Associate. In 2008; joined the Emergency Response Project (Caritas) as “Livestock
Coordinator” funded by CAFOD. In 2009; initiated service in “Save Livelihoods-Women focused
Avian Influenza Rapid Response project (RDP) as “Livestock Specialis. In 2010; I again joined ICRC
as “Livestock Program Manager”. In 2012, started providing services as “VCO-Dairy in USAID
funded project “The Entrepreneurs project (MEDA). I also worked in Pakistan Agribusiness Project”
(ASF) as “Senior Field Operations Manager-Meat Value Chain”. In 2017, started working as
consultant for 450 days $26 million USAID funded project “AMD (CNFA)” as “Project Field
Specialist-Feedlot and AI” and increased $26.5 million in sales including $8.2 million increase in
exports.
In 2012, started providing services as “Value Chain Officer-Dairy in the USAID funded project “The

job like how to develop milk safety manual, to train master trainers in dairy milk safety and to
implement the trainings in the field, not compromising on quality. I know about community
mobilization Result Based Management. Did courses of Microsoft office and can design materials in
local language.

TWELFTH ENTRY
ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To provide technical consultancy to the feedlot and backgrounding farms preferably to those
supported from AMD grant program on feedlot technical and farm feasibility, site selection and shed
construction, animal selection and best cost feed formulation, animal health and fodder production
and on marketing aspects of the feedlot.
2. Work for the establishment of livestock disease free compartment zone in the southern Punjab.
3. Ensure better adoption of best improved feedlot management practices by the feedlot farmers, who
have already learned new feedlot production skills and knowledge through project trainings.
4. Work on business linkage development activities b/w feedlot and value added business in the
industry.
5. Ensure the proper delivery and branding of the grant equipment’s to the grantees.
6. Technically assist in the establishment and successful running of the project feedlot and
backgrounding farms.
7. Provide contextual based feedback and analysis of the constraints challenges and problems faced by
the feedlot and backgrounders.
8. Selection of potential feedlot farmers and backgrounders for the project workshops and trainings
ACHIEVEMENTS
1. Technically assisted in animal nutrition, feed formulation and livestock technology transfer to 500
dairy farmers in clusters around 6 feedlot project grantee farms in the districts of Multan,
Bahawalnagar, Lodhran etc.
2. Contributed to implement the 5 feedlot and one backgrounding grants in Multan region.
3. Contributed to identify and train more than 10 backgrounding farmers in the Multan region.
4. Contributed to conduct many feedlot farmers workshops, seminars, conferences and expo to
develop the feedlot and backgrounding industry in Pakistan.
5. Many forward and backward linkages development meetings conducted in feedlot in AMD project.
6. Contributed to conduct the research to identify the feed ingredients composition; used locally in
dairy and feedlot in southern Punjab of Pakistan.
7. Have identified more than 500 stakeholders of feedlot in the Multan region and built their capacity
for successful feedlot farm management.
8. Delivered 6 packages of feedlot and backgrounding livestock nutrition related machinery to six
feedlot farmers in the Multan region. The TMR machines, silage units, forage harvesters, row
independent maize harvesters, weighing machines, traceability and nutrition software’s and feedlot
mills grants on cost share basis were handed over to the project six grantees.
9. Through Circle international, Ghazi brothers conducted many training for the grantees for
successful operation of the granted machinery.
ELEVENTH ENTRY
ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide Technical Consultancy to the Feedlot farms preferably to those supported from AMD grant
program on following area:
o Animal Health of feedlot.
o Feeding regime and Improved management practices.
o Input supply linkages.
o Linkages with small holders in cluster of villages for Backward supply of cattle directly from villages.
o Forward links with exporters and premium retail buyers.
o Selection of feedlot fattening Farms sites and layout of the farms.
7. Analysis
o To provide contextual based technical input and analysis for the management of the livestock meat
sub sector related interventions of the project.
ACHIEVEMENTS
o Contributed to entrench the project approved 500 capacity of animal feedlots grant of Live Gold
feedlot in Multan on cost share basis.
o Contributed in the delivery branding of in kind grant items to Live Gold feedlot in Multan.
TENTH ENTRY

o Implementation of current and future interventions of meat value chain in the region at field level
under the direction and supervision of Value Chain Lead.

NINTH ENTRY

o Monitoring of all interventions of the project to train 8000 microc level dairy farmers to increase their milk
sales/incomes upto 50%. Also working to strengthen the the private sector and link with the farmers at
gross root level for sustainability economic growth.
o Provide support to the VC Director in the management of sub-grants and in all facets of project

o Monitored and wrote monitoring reports to conduct to train more than 20000 dairy farmers/300 Female
Livestock Extension Workers and 200 Female Village Milk Collectors.
o Monitored and contributed to install 20 chillers with Shakarganj Food Products Ltd.
o Contributed to design/procure and distribute the 8000 water troughs to female dairy farmers.
o Regular technical and field based feed back provided to the higher management of the MEDA.
o Facilitated/worked/monitored the interventions of the project with the Key Facilitating Partners (KFPs).
o Training materials/manuals prepared for the above trainings.
o Arranged National dairy conference in Lahore on 27th November to create awarness about the sector.
o Arranged the several meetings with Nestle/Engro/Livestock Department and Islamia University
Bahawalpur (IUB) and with livestock input suppliers to create/strenthen the market linkages.
o Designed tools, conducted and anslysed several monitroing studies in the project area on Dairy and
assisted many consultants to do the studies in the project.
o Facilitated many visits of the donor and prepared the training materials in Inpage and Corel Draw in Urdu
language.
o Conducted several studies like on the installation of the 20 chillers/8000 water trough distributed.
o Conducted M&E data collection on project key indicators.
o Have worked for the capacity building of the departments, institutions and of the community.
EIGHTH ENTRY
During my services with ICRC, most of the interventions were designed to build the capacity of the Livestock &
Dairy Development Deparment Punjab/KPK/FATA/Baluchistan. My interaction was with the Drector Generals
(DGs) of these department at provincial and federal levels. Conducted several meetings/workshops/Seminars for
the capacity building of these departments. Coducted more than 15 trainings on Farmers Feild Schools and on
fodder production for the employess of the Livestock & Dairy Development Deparment KPK/FATA/Baluchistan.
75 Livestock Extension Workers were also trained in Balaucistan. The biggest donation in the history of Pakistan
in the shape of Agricultural machinary/Artificail insemination equipment was also provided to the Department
of Agriculture and Livestock KPK by ICRC in 2010-12. The University of Veterianry and Animal Scieneces-Lahore
(UVAS), Agricultural Uiniversity Peshawar (AUP) and the Livestock Research Instititute Bahadur Nagar were
involved throug MoUs to build the capacity of these the livestock farmers of FATA/KPK.. In kind support, in the
shape of equipments and tools were also donated to these departments. As a PM responsibilites were as under.
2.1.2.2 Management
o Establishes MoU's and Plan of Action (PoA's) to implement proposed activities.
o Oversees/supervises the progress of implemented activities – carries out the necessary monitoring
exercises and ensures timely reporting on the progress of programmes to his superiors.
o Coaches and supports 2 livestock FO's in PES and 1 livestock FO in QUT. Where PRCS volunteers are
involved he ensures that their skills' gaps are identified and proposes adequate capacity building.
2.1.2.3 Reporting
o Supervises FO's WOR contributions to the SD's of PES and QUT and contributes to the EcoSec
Quarterly Report.
o Ensures that the monthly statistical reports (MSR) are correct and sent to EcoSec_ISL in due time.
o Scrutinises assessment/monitoring/evaluation reports from FO's and ensures appropriate coaching.
2.1.2.4 Representation/coordination
o Attends regular coordination meetings (both internal and external)
o Focal point for all Livestock related issues (both internal and external)
o Focal point for Livestock related interlocutors (livestock department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)
P/Federal Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Balochistan regions at provincial and district level,
FAO, WFP, etc.)
o Ensures that data collected in the field or from EcoSec are used for coordination and mobilization
purposes.
ACHIEVEMENTS
o Distributed 415 Dairy Cow for Widow Grants to the armed conflict affected women in KPK.
o Three MoUs jointly prepared signed implemented and monitored with livestock department KPK
and FATA.
o Trained 169 staff of livestock department KPK and FATA. For KPK, two courses conducted were on
Training of Facilitator course (14 days duration) and two Refresher Courses conducted were on
Livestock Farmer Field School Methodology. For FATA, conducted three trainings for FATA livestock
farmers on fodder production and management.
o Contributed in assessment planning, procurement quarantines selection distribution and
monitoring of 631 dairy cows for widow packages in Buner.
o Conducted consultation workshops for planning of livestock interventions in 2010.
o Donated veterinary equipment’s and tools of worth of PKR 15 million to livestock department KPK
and FATA. These include equipment’s of Artificial Insemination, cold boxes, syringes and semen
analyzer... Technical assistance provided in designing of specification, procurement, handing over
and monitoring of these equipment’s.
o Attended workshop in Nairobi Kenya on Agriculture Food processing from 27 September 2010 to
02 October 2010
o Planning and identification of livestock interventions for 2012 with livestock department FATA/KP.
o Have conducted more than 15 meetings with the GLAs.
o Advised and gave context based technical support to the EcoSec team leader for the development
of the ICRC's Community Based Animal Health Program in Quetta Baluchistan.
o Developed a network of contacts with counterparts.
o Have written monitoring report of DCW and AI conducted in 2011. Have also written progress
reports and planning done on weekly, monthly quarterly and annual basis
SEVENTH ENTRY

o Worked with the Livestock & Dairy Development Deparment AJK and support was provided in the
shape of capacity building initiatives/vaccination cold storage equipments and exposure visits were
arrnged for the staff of the deparments.
o Wrote business plans for establishment of Model Dairy Farm, construction of livestock shelters and
Buffalo grant.
o Implemented 56 dairy buffalo grants.
o Implemented, the Value added grants for improvement of dairy value chain sector in Bagh district.
o More then 30 Technical trainings conducted on Hay/Silage making, village vet trainings, Poultry
production/management trainings, Dairy animal health maintenance, safe production and handling of
milk trainings etc
o Implemented the 4 grants of chillers and contributions in construction of 14 livestock shelters.
o Establishment of one Model dairy farm of 10+1 dairy buffalos with building worth of PKR 8 million
o Coordination linkage with all stakeholders especially GOP.
SIXTH ENTRY

o Have conducted more than 10 trainings/workshops/meeting with the Livestock & Dairy Development
Deparment KPK and Health Department KPK to build theier capacity in terms of AI prevention and control.
FIFTH ENTRY
During service with the Caritas, I have worked with the Livestock & Dairy Development Deparment KPK/AJK.
The facilitators from these departments were involved to deliver trainings for the community and to create
linkage with them. Equipment’s were also provided to these two departments too.

ACHIEVEMENTS
o Implemented the program as well as the Agriculture/livestock and vocational trainings are concerned.
o Seed/fertilizer/agri tool kit procurement, distributions were arranged for the earthquake victims.
o Several vocational trainings were arranged i.e. tailoring, welding and masonry in the agri sector.
o For the capacity building of the staff trainings and workshops were arranged.
o Several monitoring’s were conducted
o Implemented the livestock restocking program, Livestock Extension workers trainings, implementation of
deworming campaign and donated artificial insemination equipment’s to the department of Livestock.
FOURTH ENTRY
The Department of Livestock KPK was involved in the quarantine/selection/certification and distribution of more
than 7500 animals to 7500 HH earthquake affected communities. To conduct the trainings, the facilitators from

able to introduce new ideas for promotion of the livestock sector of the Project Area

o Contributed in planning, procurement and distribution of more than 6000 small/large livestock packages.
These packages also include the fodder seeds/fertilizers etc.
o 82000 poultry birds/poultry feed procured, distributed in the 17 earthquake affected union councils.
o Facilitated AHITI to conduct 12 Trainings on poultry management/husbandry by AHITI-Peshawar.
o Contributed to construct more than 1200 livestock shelters in the project area.
o MoU was signed with the Department of livestock to do quarantine supervision and certification of animals
to be distributed to the affected communities.
THIRD ENTRY

o Provided veterinary health related services to the feedlot Fattening farmers/dairy farmers in district
Mansehra, especially in College Doraha Mansehra Area to prevent them from the diseases.
o Provided ante mortem and postmortem services in the slaughter house of Mansehra city.
o Provided training to the feedlot fattening farmers of Mansehra during field days while in service.
o Organizing meetings with both the community leaders and the local authorities.
o Liaising and cooperating with local NGOs and international organizations including FAO for the livestock.
o Organizing Basic Training Course (BTC) as well as refresher course for the livestock keeping communities.
o With the veterinary department facilitated the vaccination of both the large and small ruminants.
o Participated in coordination meetings organized by the other organizations at district/provincial level.
o Conducting participatory problem analysis with the livestock keepers to solve the problems of shortage
of fodders, low milk production and for construction of livestock shelters.
