A. Write AV on the line if the sentence is in the active voice and PV if it is in


passive voice.
1. AV My younger sister spends a lot of time watching TV.

2. PV Sometimes, she watches TV for hours on end.

3. AV She was warned that watching TV for an extended period of time could have
negative effects on her health.

4. PV it is found out that watching too much TV can affect child’s social skill.

5. AV However, Researchers also suggest that watching right television shows


moderately can help improve schools performance.

B. Change the following sentences from active voice to passive voice


1. Millennials see their news on social networking sites.
Answer: The news was seen by millennials from social networking sites.

2. Young adults use social media at higher rates


Answer: Social Media were used by young adults at higher rates.

3. Users still prefer one social networking site above others


Answer: One Social Networking Site were still preferred by users above the
others.

4. Older adults also use social media platforms


Answer: Social Media Platforms were also used by older adults.

5. Users visit their social media accounts at least once a day.


Answer: Social media accounts are visited by users at least once a day
C. Change the following sentences from passive voice to active voice.

1. OFWs are being called country’s modern day heroes


Answer: The country’s modern day heroes’ are OFWs.

2. Families are left behind as OFWs work far from home.


Answer: OFWs work far from home so families are left behind.
3. The country’s economy has been given a boost because of OFW remittances.
Answer: OFW's remittances give the country's economy a boost.

4. It is unfortunate that many OFWs had been sent back home as crises hit the
countries they worked for.
Answer: Countries that many OFWs worked for encountered crisis that’s why
many unfortunate OFWs was sent back home.

5. I hope that soon, OFWs will have been given more opportunities that are closer
to home.
Answer: I'm hoping that soon, more opportunities that are closer to home will be
given to the OFWs.
