CONTEXT-NOT AN EPOCH OF CHANGE

IT´S A CHANGE OF EPOCH

VUCA CONTEXT
HUMAN CENTRIC
TECHNOLOGICAL REVOLUTION
SHARING ECONOMY
LEADING FRONTEERS
COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE

3
EXTERNAL CHANGE SPEED

TECHNOLOGICAL CHANGE SPEED REQUIRES INTERNAL MINDSET CHANGE

•  NEW ADAPATIVE CHALLENGES

•  MIND-SET CHANGE
•  AGILITY & CULTURE CHANGE
ORGANIZATION-Continuous Re-orientation
LEADER &TEAMS - Vertical development

4
CONTEXT-HBR KODAK´s DOWNFALL

The inability to truly embrace the New Business Model…

MIND-SET CHANGE NEEDED

In realizing that the online Photo sharing Was THE NEW BUSINESS,
Not just a way to expand the printing Business…

5
CONTEXT- HBR LESSONS TO LEARN

So if your company is beginning to talk about Digital Transformation

make sure to asks these 3 Questions:

A P P L I E S T O T O D AY ´ S W O R L D
What Business are we in Today?
What New opportunities does the disruption Open?
What Capabilities we need to realize these Opportunities?

6
KEGAN- VERTICAL DEVELOPEMENT

White Paper published 2016- Vertical Leadership Development Part 2 - Nick Petri CCL (Center for Creative Leadership)

7
COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE- FACTOR “C”
WHAT DO YOU THINK EMPOWERS COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE?

•  Diversity

•  Sharing Information

•  The number of people

•  A common goal

•  The process for communication M. C. ESCHER Graphic Works

8
COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE- FACTOR “C”
Studies from MIT & Carnegie Mellon Univ. ( Thomas Malone, Anita Woolley
& Ishano Aggarwal); and Google (Project Aristotle) show that the Collective
Intelligence of a Group is not guaranteed by a high IQ of the team members

•  Key factors for “C” social sensitivity, group diversity- different perspectives,
communication, collaboration & integration, and low competition for power

The following and other studies analyze the Collective Intelligence in Teams
and Organizations that is even more needed today in VUCA contexts and for
the epoch we are facing

CONTEXT-GAME CHANGERS
AI and genome editing are the two primary game Changers

The first major force in the realm of exponential technologies is Artificial

Intelligence. AI is widely projected to grow twice as fast as all other
technologies, exceeding Moore’s Law and the growth of computing power

“By far the greatest danger of artificial intelligence is that people conclude too
early that they understand it.” –Eliezer Yudkowsky17

The companion game changer to AI is human genome engineering: altering

human DNA to put an end to some if not all diseases, reprogram our bodies...
Indeed, AI will be a critical enabler of such reprogramming.

AI TRENDS- ML,LANGUAGE PROCESSING
DEEP L,IMAGE RECOGNITION, ROBOTICS
Science fiction is becoming
science fact
Very soon, machines will be able to
do things that once were the sole
domain of human workers—such as
understanding language, complex
image recognition, or using our body
in highly flexible and adaptive ways.

Industry disruption
Some of the most well-respected minds of our time, such as Ray
Kurzweil and Dr. Peter Diamandis, have predicted that:

•  We will have full digital integration between humans and computers by

the 2030
•  Between this and ongoing advances in automation and robotics (also
influenced by AIoT), up to 40% of the current workforce could be
replaced by technology within the next 10 to 15 years

Sébastien Pellion, Head of Social Impact at Glovo, said: “We’re really

excited about the potential of Glovo Access and the opening up of our
platform to NGOs across the world. We noticed during the beginning of
the COVID-19 crisis, especially here in Spain, which was one of the
countries hardest-hit, that local organisations such as food banks, social
centres and other charities were struggling to maintain their operations
due to the lockdown. Given our license to operate as an “essential
service”, we saw an opportunity to help these charities maintain their
activities, which are crucially important to the most vulnerable members
of our society.” SOURCE: EU Startups- Sep 29, 2020
