As commented on rev B, submittal, the UPVC pipe is not class D so it didn’t We wish to highlight the following as per BS code

Pipes and Vent Stacks ( Both inside buildings and buried in ground
within the building structure )
BS EN 1401: is for the drain lines for the buried external areas.
BSEN 3505: is for the pressure piping (normally used for water supply
lines.( pipes with class D -12 bar and class E -16 bar etc.. are based on
this code)
We request to notify that, the class D pipes (pipes with 12 bar pressure
MC 01 rating) are fall under BSEN 3505 code and the same is not at all a
mandatory requirement for drainage piping system.
In addition to above we wish to highlight that, as per our market sur-

vey, we understand that, there is no manufactures producing the fol-
lowing fittings commonly required for drainage system piping with
Class D (12 bar pressure) rating. The fittings are listed below.

Also as per the engineer letter reference ADPI-CCCC-EAE-TS-1038 dated Jan 4 Since all the sanitary fittings are not available with class D (12 bar

As discussed with engineer on 20.07.2017, further to our MAS sub-

mission to engineer from national plastic UAE, we are forwarding
UPVC pipe MAS from alternative manufacturer M/s COSMOPLAST
as alternative 1 for comparing between manufacturer and take the final
discussion
Comments on last revision MAS from M/s cosmoplast
As per specification section 220500 part 2 section 2.2 point xv, it is
written that
“The Contractor shall supply the Employer with test certificate or

manufacturer's certificates showing that the piping complying in
all respects with the provision of the relevant British or Interna-
tional Standards.”
The test report from 1 up to 5 attached in the submittal are partly for diameter
110 mm dia. pipes and fittings. In line with British slandered (BS EN 1329 and BS EN 1401), cosmo-
plast pipes are fittings are having BSI Kitemark license.

However as per project specification 220500 part 2.2 (xv) test certificate for all BSI Kite Mark certificate for both BS EN 1329 and BS EN 1401 at-
pipe and fittings to be utilised in this project shall be submitted (page 51) tached to this revised MAS.

from EXOVA, for engineer reference for various pipes and fittings

for Bole International Expansion Project.

11. Draft Warranty Letter

Annex I : Warranty
WARRANTY
Cosmoplast uPVC pipes and fittings are subjected to continuous tests during production in order to guarantee
high quality and reliability.
Cosmoplast Industrial Co. LLC guarantees that its uPVC Pipes & Fittings are free from manufacturing and
material defects.
In witness hereof, Cosmoplast issues this warranty for its system of uPVC Pipes and Fittings which shall be valid for
a period of ten years starting from the date of installation.
However, Cosmoplast will not accept, and will not be held liable or responsible for damage to these products, or any
consequential losses under the following conditions:
1. If working conditions are different than those prescribed in this catalogues.
2. If the components are used in installations where the fluid is not compatible with the material as per the related
international standards.
3. If the components present defects when installed, due to incidental factors easily recognizable at the time of
installation or when the system is submitted to pressure test.
