COMPLETE REBUILD
CubCrafters Services has become the standard by which all Super Cub rebuilds are measured. We have been
rebuilding, flying, buying and selling Piper Super Cubs since 1980. Our modified and refurbished cubs fly higher,
farther, faster, and slower carrying more passengers, volume, and weight of cargo than the folks at Piper Aircraft
ever imagined. Our highly specialized crew of Super Cub rebuilding experts can build a better, stronger, lighter,
and more powerful airplane than the factory ever did. Under our care, your Super Cub will receive the finest and
most complete airframe overhaul available at any cost. We will not cut corners or produce a less than thoroughly
rebuilt Super Cub.
Our years of experience with modifications and rebuilds have shown us where the “weak links” are found in a
Super Cub’s fuselage. By reinforcing those weak areas, we are able to fix problems before they have a chance
to develop, providing a long lasting trouble free aircraft that won’t let you down when you are depending upon
it. A little extra effort and knowledge during the rebuild of your cub will pay dividends for years to come. We
can replace some of the old heavy components that were designed with 1940’s technology such as starters, oil
coolers, and batteries with much lighter components saving precious pounds and adding to the performance and
safety of your aircraft.
Your Super Cub will leave our facility better equipped, lighter, stronger, safer and more capable than when it left
the factory! With all this improvement comes a fabric job that shows our pride of craftsmanship and attention to
detail. You’ll be proud to own and fly a “Super Cub by CubCrafters.”
We have designed this brochure to aid you in deciding what features to incorporate into the rebuild of a very
special Super Cub built especially for you. Please take the time you need to become familiar with each of the
optional modifications that we offer as well as all of the standard features incorporated into each cub we rebuild.

Planning a complete rebuild project involves several key components. Here are the basic pieces:
CHOOSING YOUR PROJECT AIRPLANE
You may already be the owner of this airplane or you may require our assistance to
locate a suitable candidate for a rebuild. Perhaps we already have one in our used cub
inventory you would like. Occasionally we are asked to rebuild an airplane with many
missing parts or one that has structural damage. In such cases the damaged parts will
be repaired or suitable replacements will be found. Repairs and replacements will be
estimated and charged at our normal shop rate for time and materials. You may also
choose to have a new project airplane fabricated using all new FAA certified parts. We
build a new Super Cub with zero total airframe time. Call for price and availability.
As you look over the brochure, all of the items with a c are included in our
complete rebuild. If you see options that you want incorporated into your project
just mark each box and we will discuss the items with you. If you have questions, our
expert sales staff is standing by to help you! Your cub will leave here in “like-new”
condition...
...Something you will be proud to fly!

“This is for all the people at Cub Crafters Services who helped in rebuilding
N4443Z. After flying the airplane back to Oregon, she seems to be all that we
had hoped for and quite a bit more. We have a hard time trying to explain
how much we appreciate the work that went into the rebuild. Logic tells us
that airplanes are just machines and do not have a personality. After all those
hours behind the stick, I have a hard time accepting that judgment. 43Z has
had a long and happy career flying the “bush” in Alaska, and now she seems to
be almost like new. She will head back to Alaska, later this spring, to take up
her work of flying in the mountains and doing game survey work. She works
in some of the most beautiful and special country that this planet has to offer.
Sending her in such perfect condition is a real treat for us, and will be for those
pilots who will fly her in the air taxi service at Sheep Mt., Alaska.
Now that we have the airplane back in our hangar, I have had time to inspect
the details. Such things as the use of Adel clamps, cable ties, and how you
have secured wires, hose, and tubing forward of the firewall start to stand out.
Having built an RV6, I have some appreciation of what that entails.
The fabric work is beautiful. Part of what I had hoped for the rebuild was that
Cub Crafters had such extensive experience in dealing with Cubs, that a lot of
small but important details would be done better than if we had tried to do it
ourselves. Such indeed seems to be the case.
A special thanks to Stan, Vera, Pete, Brian and all those other people who
obviously put in such careful and meticulous work on making this happen.”
