Why nations trade with each other. Briefly share your thought on the space below.

Answer:
Trading was already done long years ago by our ancestors they called it “barter” or changing
item to one another. In the current situation countries trade with each other when, on their
own, they do not have the resources, or capacity to satisfy their own needs and wants. By
developing and exploiting their domestic scarce resources, countries can produce a surplus,
and trade this for the resources they need. Today, international trade is at the heart of the
global economy and is responsible for much of the development and prosperity of the modern
industrialised world.

Food is an integral part of understanding different countries, cultures, and lifestyles.

You run a chain of high-end premium restaurants in the United States, and you are
looking for unique Australian wines you can import. However, you must first identify
which Australian suppliers can provide you with premium wines. After searching
through the Australian supplier directory, identify three or four companies that can
be potential suppliers. Then develop a list of criteria you would need to ask these
companies in select which one to work with.
Answer:
Following are the four companies that can be potential suppliers: Young & Rashleigh Wine
Merchants, Estate Wine Distributors, Ergo Wines, and Inglewood Wine Merchants. Suppliers
play a critical role in helping companies succeed. In order to find the right ones, businesses
need to consider a number of critical factors, including: value for money, quality, reliability,
responsiveness, and flexibility. Shared culture and location can also play a key role in a
successful partnership. Effective purchasing should focus on what your business needs and
what you want to achieve.
I choose the Inglewood Wine Merchants because it’s a wholesale wine company specializing
in the sale and distribution of quality regional wines to licensed outlets in the New South
Wales & ACT wine market. The company was founded in 1990 and is 100% Australian owned
and operated. The owners have vast experience in the hospitality industry with diverse
business interests in the hotel, restaurant, wine production and grape growing sectors.
Topic for Research
Surf the internet for event suppliers who can create the right atmosphere for any
event that you are planning. Share your findings.
Answer:
I select the event caterers because I believe that catering is often the first or second line item
cost in an event planning budget. The amount spent on food and beverage can significantly
impact how much money is left for other things. The event is important to me and it should be
to the caterer as well. When selecting a caterer, keep in mind that you are hiring them for
food, beverage, and service. This includes the service you receive as their client as well as the
service your guests will receive at the event. While you have no control over the wait staff at a
restaurant, you do have control over what type of staff serves the food at the event you are
planning. Inquire as to the number of servers, their experience in working an event similar to
yours, and the number of staff in supervisory roles.
