    Topic 11 : Can you tell us about your favourite activity ( Just one

    activity) ? Why do you like it?

    Ladies and gentlemen, my dear teachers and friends!

    As you know, everyone has their own way to relax. I likes reading

    books, watching TV, going swimming and cooking in my free time. And

    today I’m going to share with you my favorite activity: reading books.

    Following are three main reasons that I like reading books. Are you

    ready to listen to me? I will start right now.

    First of all, I can learn many things by reading books. I often read

    scientific books, historical fiction and detective story such as: Conan,

    Doraemon, Case Closed,… They are very interesting and informative.

    Reading books helps me to widen my knowledge. It also helps me

    understand more about the lesson. I can know more about the nature

    around us. By reading books, I can understand why it rains, why the

    thunder crushes ,….

    Secondly, reading books help me improve my English. Reading is one of

    the most fun and effective ways to help improve my English language
    skills. It can help to expand my vocabulary and sentence structures. I can

    learn how to use a word naturally. For example, when I see phrasal verbs

    in context again and again while reading, I start to understand their

    meaning and use.

    Last but not least, reading books makes me feel relax after hard-working

    days. One kind of my favourite book is comic book. There are many

    interesting books I often read such as : Trang Quynh, Ti Quay, Shin-

    The pencil boy, and so on. At weekend, I with my friend often read

    comic book and laugh together. We share with each other some fun story

    that we’ve read, so all of us feel exciting and happy.

    To sum up, reading books is very useful to me, but in short time I can’t

    tell you all benefits of reading. Therefore, I think everyone should

    spend time on reading books. Well, that’s all from me.
