A one class period lesson for the student who can't participate
Unfortunately, when you get older and finish school, you won’t have time to get
together a large group of friends to play many physical games such as basketball or
football. Lifetime sports are activities that can be played throughout your lifetime
and don’t require a large group. Some examples of lifetime sports include:
biking, golfing, swimming, rock climbing, playing tennis, canoeing and walking.
There are also plenty more to choose.
Task
1. You are to select a lifetime sport or activity that seems interesting to you.
Remember, a lifetime sport is an activity that you can play by yourself (or
small group) for many years.
2. Learn more about this lifetime sport by exploring information on the
internet.
3. Answer the questions on the worksheet below.
