Title of the Study: Human Resource Planning and practice of Multifabs Limited

1. Background of the Organization: The Multifabs companies, known as the “Multifabs


family,” focus entirely on the garments Industry. The 10th production units Multifabs Ltd.
are Located in Nayapara, Kashimpur, Gazipur, Bangladesh. The plants have over 4500
modern machines for total production capacity is very good per month. Members of both
production(6300 workers)and 1300+ staff & Management teams are dedicated to achieving
our Clients’ production goals. The organizations are committed to providing excellence at all
levels of production established in 1994 as Multifabs Limited. It is dedicated to excellence
in merchandising, product development, Knitting, Dyeing, Cutting, Finishing, Sewing
production and logistics in Bangladesh for commitment to quality, timely delivery and total
value.

 Multifabs are three sister concerns'

 The corporate governance board consists of Chairman, Managing directors and


Directors.

 the top brand importers and retailers from the United States as well as Western
European, Middle East and Asia countries with year-round programs and Local market.

 Every years held various certified audit such as BSCI, GOTS, C-TPAT, RCS, OCS, ISO
9001:2015, SEDEX.,WARP and achieve good point.

 Multifabs Ltd. has been awarded national Export Trophy(Gold)(2004-2005), also


received many National and International level award .

2. Importance of the study: Human resource planning is the entry point of human resource
management concerned with the determination of human resource requirements, job
analysis, recruitment, selection and socialization. Human resource planning is also called
‘Personnel planning’, ‘Employment planning’, and ‘Manpower planning’. Human resource
planning is the process of determining an organization's human resource needs. It is
important factor in human resource management programs because it ensures the right
person at right place, at right time. It helps the organization to achieve overall strategic
objective. The term paper is an important part of post graduate diploma in Human Resource
Management (PGDHRM) Program. It is included in the program so that participants can get
the opportunity to use the theoretical knowledge in the practical field obtained from the class
room undergoes its fulfillment through applicant. So it is a great opportunity for the
participants of PGDHRM Program of BIM to achieve a complete and comprehensive
learning.

The Human resource planning depends on how the organizations practice and maintains their
unique style. How it response towards changes over time? it is strongly influence on employees’
performance and job satisfaction. The main importance of this study is to produce
knowledge that can be applied outside a practical setting. The purpose of the study is to
apply the tools, techniques of research and knowledge of human resource management an
organization.
The above mention components are conducted by the HR department of the organization. As I am
working in Multifabs Limited hence I choose this company to prepare my report. So that I can
easily describe the HR planning process we practice.

3. Objectives

Broader objective of the study: The major objective of this report was to Analysis of
Human Resource Planning and practice of Multifabs Limited.

Specific objectives: The specific objective of the study will be:

 To learn about recruiting and selecting procedure Multifabs Limited


 To know the performance appraisal system.
 To identify job analysis gap that affected employees performance,
 To know the training & Development policy and Procedure of Multifabs Limited.

4. Scope of the study:

The Term Paper deals with the HRM practice including HRP, recruitment and selection process,
training & development process, compensation management, employee relation & separation, etc.
in terms of theoretical point of view and the practical use. The study allowed learning about the
HRM issues, importance, modern techniques and models used to make it more efficient. It also
helped to learn the practical procedures followed by the organizations. Moreover the study helped
to differentiate between the practice and the theories that direct to realize how the organization
can improve their HRM practice & process. This can also be used as a reference in any relevant
study in future.

5. Methodology

This term paper aims to study human resource planning. Data will be collected through structured
questionnaire, organization visit, group discussion, personal interview. Data will collect from HR
Department, IE Department and Sewing & Finishing Department. The reasons to choose this
ready-made garments sector are that they have a rules to follow labour law, different buyer COC,
Safety and need proper manpower planning. We will get a number of survey participants. We will
get an access to a huge collection of data to ensure more authentic statistical analysis.

a. Phase- I:
In the first phase theoretical study will be carried out to understand the Human resources
planning, process and its factors associated with employees’ job performance, their
perspective regarding human resources planning.

b. Phase- II:
1. With the theoretical understanding some department head or responsible person will be
interviewed face to face discussion and selected questionnaire to know their level of
understanding Human resources planning and practice. The participants of this survey
will be answering some close ended questions. These arranged questions will
automatically find out the manpower planning employee’s performance level on their job.
2. After collecting their opinions through the Survey questionnaire, Oral interview. Direct
observation, Website, Various documents. This will be followed by some formal and
informal discussions.

c. Phase-III: Data Collection Tools and Techniques:

Sampling:
For the convenience sewing department one floor will be chosen. The HR Planning is same for all
others floor of sewing & finishing department of Multifabs Ltd.

Sample Size:
The sample size for the study will not be large one. The sample size will be 420 with front line
employees ,line manager, mid-level management and concerned persons.
Sampling Scheme:
Having fixed up sample extent, sample size and sample units, it will take 14 days to complete the
task of collection information.

Source of Information:
Both primary and secondary data will be used to reach a convincing result;

a. Primary Data:
Primary data will be collected through Structured Questionnaire, Personal Interview and
group Discussion.

b. Secondary Data:

 Secondary data will be collected from the department head of HR, IE of the
organization by physical observation and various record reviews.
 Official website of the company.

Data Processing Method:


Standard editing and coding procedures were used with the help of software such as MS
Excel. Simple tabulations were made to analyze the data. A written report was prepared
and an oral presentation will be made depending on the findings of the survey . Some
manual techniques will be applied during the collection of opinion through the questionnaire.

6. Activity Schedule:

This study will be accomplish between June 14th to 31st August 2021, the study duration
is 11 weeks- days= 77
