I.1 Business Concept

The firm would like to provide its target market, those within the age range of
adolescents to young adulthood, an arts venture that offers a line of products which are
superior in quality at a reasonable cost. All of such shall satisfy and meet the
expectations of the aforementioned set of consumers. Its includes an art trend with a
certain twist that is in demand. It seeks not only to attract consumers with quality
products but also fulfilling the promise of a satisfying customer service.

Amidst of the competition that is present in this particular field of business,


the proponents shall strive to be at par with the other competitors. The firm looks
beyond from the natural selling concept and gives focus on the revolutionized manner of
generating revenues, which is the “sense and respond” means of accumulating not only
sales, but satisfaction from its consumers. The business shall also carry out customer-
driven strategies in the form of gathering new product ideas and services.

Vision

A simple light of hope that embodies encouragement, resilience, strength and tenacity.
A small shimmering light that gives sight in a dark room. A simple yet beautiful
brightness, that comforts one’s act to survive in the dark, work in the dark, and see
beauty in the dark. A simple night light, yet not simple in meaning.

Mission

Vector Lamp as our product is called, is a somewhat alternate version of a night light.
This is a more simplified version, and handmade than the actual nightlight. This aims to
give comfort and encouragement, to find beauty in a simple light. To give our customers
a way to see through darkness, not only literally but figuratively also. The true aim of our
vector lamp, is to give a somewhat psychiatric treatment to those that may be feeling
alone, and that ugliness and darkness is always around them.

Goals
To be a local specialty, and a somewhat must have product to those that may not
have known about this.

To become a reputable product that boasts positive reviews from the customers.

To become a helpful product that helps those that have issues with the dark, and
insecurities.

To become an outstanding business, by improving the product more as time


goes by, and expand as much as our resources can offer in each change.

Objectives

To succeed in the business, we must:

II. Executive Summary

BEACON.LIGHTS (Vector Lamps) is an arts venture that centrally operates


through online platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. This entity will be run by first
year students of ARTAHUM404.

BEACON.LIGHTS expects to catch the interest of a regular loyal customer with


its arts venture. It is the answer to the increasing demand of customized gifts especially
during in special occasions. B.L will provide a combination of products at value pricing
with quality packaging, outputs, and other freebies.
In today’s highly competitive environment, it is becoming increasingly difficult
to differentiate one’s business venture from the other. Currently, the present generation
are a fan of products that exhibit a whole new level of creativity. Various shops that offer
such are now available throughout the town. With that thought, the enterprise would like
to offer these demands, but with some twists.

BEACON.LIGHTS will entice the youngsters and the young-at-heart to


purchase a gift that is specially made for their loved ones and to choose our business in
this field with the trust of being able to acquire top-tier outputs. B.L will start to make its
earnings in the year 2021 and will augment gradually from month to month.

BEACON.LIGHTS will continually innovate, provide the source of comfort, value


to our customers, and motivation for our staff. We aim to serve our customers with good
quality and faith to maintain the credibility of our business to ensure the growth of our
company. The role of our business isn’t just to serve our customers but also to serve
our community as well. The following are the four significant proponents involved in the
organization of the new enterprise and how the enterprise can assure that its work will
produce the desired outcomes:

A. Resource Mobilizers and Financial Backers

In our business, the resource mobilizers and financial backers would be the capitalists
and aid from different financial institutions. It will be beneficial to attract potential
investors to accompany the business in seeking innovation and improvements in its
operations. This would also be a big help for the business to be able to have adequate
funds to spend for the start-up of the business.
The enterprise also prepared financial plans and assigned employees to take charge of
obtaining the assets of the business.

B. Technology Providers and Applicators

The technology providers and applicators are the business manager and product
developer. As we aim to offer an improvised handcrafted Vector lamp that is carefully
and passionately crafted by our business itself, we create innovations that would attract
the target customer easily. We have a variety of designs and colors that the customers
can choose from, our target customers ain’t just adults but also kids and teenagers who
seek comforts and peace. And for our business to make a market on online platforms,
we must seek guidance from tech professionals to develop applications or create social
media accounts that can be utilized to cater to our customers’ needs.

For our governance and top management, the operations manager or the one who
dominates the business must prioritize its operations and production flow. The
employees would also take their role in providing utmost services for the customers and
observing ethical standards of responsible management. Our business also offers
promos and discounts that will help our customers to save money and this strategy will
encourage our customers to buy more. In addition, the employees are well trained in
terms of communicating to ensure that the business will be known not just for its quality
but also for how employees serve our customers.
D. Operating and Support Team

And to the operating and support team, this includes all the endorsements, finances
lend by financial institutions and investments that investors had put in the business that
made the product possible. The production work must be utilized accordingly in a
process from our top management. The activities that will conduct on operation will be
the collection, marketing of products, and production. Our business aims to cater to the
needs of our clients. In year 1, our focus is to set up financial goals for the year with
check-in points so our business can stay on track, and hopefully, our business is
already starting to be known. In year 2, more marketing strategies to make to have a
consistent income and of course to attract our customers to buy more. In year 3, our
business focus is to have more income to have enough funds so that in year 4, our
business will be able to have expanded. In year 5, hopefully, our business already has
several branches at different places.

The firm aims to make the products and services available to its target market,
those within the age range of young adolescents to young adulthood. With the
proponents’ thorough analysis for an effective marketing strategy, it chooses the market
segment most accessible to generate the said enterprise. In this way, practicality and
feasibility will be exercised in the formulated set-up. The vector lamp seeks to build
profitable relationships with its consumers through constantly reaching out to its market,
in order to obtain the necessary information to fulfill the promise of continuous
satisfaction in all designated marketing areas. The core region for the firm is the shares
acquired from young adolescents which accounts about 75% of the market sales. The
rest of the population which are adults averagely equates to a purchasing rate of 25%.
The set of benefits and other perks the business offers are mainly the overall
treatment to those that may be feeling alone, and that ugliness and darkness is always
around them. The lamps will be sold to the best quality possible. The services
manifested are constantly honed in order to attract, acquire, inspire and keep the
consumers. The modifications of each product are done to ensure the well-being of
each customer in terms of his or her health mentally or physically, yet at the same time,
meeting his or her expectations. The seasonal freebies are part of the incentive system
to be able to accumulate more patrons of the vector lamps, eventually leading to growth
in sales. With the efficient use of the marketing mix, the business works its way to attain

The Market segments will be focused on, Brgy. Pawing Palo Leyte, along with
Brgy. Campetic, Palo, Leyte. Assuming that we are on our early stages, our main Vector
Lamp staion is inside the J&F mall where a lot of people stop, pass through, or even
travel from, not only are these two barangays close to a well known landmark i.e Mac.
Arthur Park, but it is also where people from around leyte usually meet together, even
when they don’t realize. Allowing us to capitalize the sheer numbers of people who pass
through here every single day. Campetic and Pawing are two barangays where people
from, Tacloban, Alang-Alang, Palo, and etc… meet. Seeing this opportunity, with this
strategic location for business we are sure to expand sooner than most. This Marketing
Environment is one that utilizes, a landmark, strategic location for passerbys, and most
importantly the opportunity presented, having 3 schools, multiple restaurants, assuring
that many people are indeed to be seen here, and being stationed inside a mall, we are
guaranteed to have visits or be seen by our target market.

The target markets as shown are Adolescents and adults, two human stages
which are experiencing high amounts of stress. Seeing this, they are ideal for our
product, others may see our product as a simple light, or a nuisance. The fact is, is that
this kind of lamp is designed not just to light up an area, but to soothe the emotions one
individual is feeling. High amounts of stress can be soothed with the use of beauty,
Vector lamps are designed to be beautiful, having this fact makes our market a bit
closer to success than others may seem.

In a micro level we can manage sustaining our livelihoods, being stationed in J&F
alone, having number of visitors day and night is not a problem, but have limited action
since we are not yet spreading. In a macro-level assuming we have been around for 1
year, we are now able to expand not just in Campetic and Pawing, we can have stations
in Baras, near Mac. Arthur park, and even in Tacloban, them being close from our two
main markets, which is another advantageous use of the location, having these
expansions are extremely crucial. With these expansions not only can we raise income,
we can also show reputation, and change a new trend for people to see. Vector Lamps
being virtually unknown to most, can become a huge new trend of useful proportions.
