PREFACE

One of our requirements as a Grade 12 students with strand TVL-ICT, student of Baua

National High School, is to undergo on the job training and is one of the many means by which

student’s skills can be develop.

Work immersion is a method of allowing students to apply the theories and

principles they have learned in school. Moreover, Work Immersion helps students how a

work is done and provides sufficient knowledge to the field chosen. The Trainee had

chosen the Baua National High School as his training ground because it will be a great

help.

The narrative is then based on the trainee's activities and experiences at Baua

National High School, where we were on-the-job trainee. It suggests and recommends a

possible solution to a problem encountered during training and serves as her improvement

guide.

DEDICATION

It was a great chance that resulted in countless experiences, unforgettable

memories, and inexpensive established learnings. And none of this would have been

possible without the assistance of the Almighty God, who helped me get through it all. He

has always been there to provide me with physical, emotional, and spiritual support. To

my family, who has been a constant source of support in every decision I've made and has

met all of my financial needs. To my adviser, who is always confident even when we

don't think things can get any better, and who is always motivating.

As a student who completed my internship training at Baua National High School, I

would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the following individuals for their

invaluable assistance, without which this training would not have been possible.

To my dear parents, Madelyn Yonson and Oliver Carlito Yonson, thank you very

much for the always being at my back. Your unending love, care, and support inspired me

to excel in my training.

Thank you to my school, Baua National High School, for incorporating on-the-job training

into the curriculum and providing students with the opportunity to experience the actual

scenario in the real world.

This OJT educates every student by allowing us to apply the theories we learned

in school and learn new techniques. To my supervisors, who instilled vital lessons about

the real-world working environment, not just theories, but also life lessons. Despite the

fact that they are also busy with their assigned tasks, they find ways to assist us in

completing our training.

CHAPTER II

HISTORY AND OVERVIEW OF THE WORK IMERSION AGENCY

Baua National High School was founded with students from various Barangays,

particularly from Baua plaque, and is the only school in the poblacion. This school was

dominated by students from mostly well-to-do families. Concerned parents, teachers, and

other concerned citizens from Gonzaga's eastern region planned to build a secondary

school accessible to high school students from remote barangays, particularly Barangay

Baua. Because the request to build a secondary school in Baua was so reasonable, it was

sufficient to grant permission to build, and thus they were given the green light to build a

secondary school in the Barangay. Mr. William Pascual, Mr. Loreto Pajas Sr., and Mrs.

Juanita C. Pascual had volunteered as part-time secondary school teachers as a good start.

They then had to recruit potential enrolees from Baua or any other Barangay. They have

enrolled 80 people.

Since both of the school and the Barangay had positive outcome of a join

celebration, each then birth in coordination. The perceeds of the 18th foundation and the

Barangay Fiesta celebrations help a lot on purchasing a 5,000 square meters partial of a

lot for BHS. This newly purchase lot is located at Bigot. In addition to this lot, a 1,400

level-which is Baua Elementary School with Mrs. Juanita C. Pascual, then as Principal.

Although these school lot at Bigot was already erected with 3 rooms ready to occupied

for classes courtesy of DPWH. It was not enough for the Principal to be convinced the

fact that she was then thinking the situation concerning factions of students. Moreover,

the increases of enrolment show the need of school to be transfer to wider school campus.

Finally, the school after 3 long years of earning and saving was able to pay ½

hectare at 70,000 pesos and the Rice Granary at 40,000 pesos. The rice granary however,

was used as temporary classroom of the students at the same time with also serve as the

office of the teachers. The kind Raquino’s were generous enough to have donated 3,000

sq. meters. Thus, making this school owned 8,000 sq. m. lot.

On July 1966, Mr. Tomas de Yro from the Division of Cagayan conducted an

ocular inspection to this newly open Secondary School in the Barangay. He then observed

CHAPTER III

NARRATION OF EXPERIENCE

First Day

23rd of April, 2021 My first day of on-the-job training had arrived (OJT). I'm not

sure what to do. Madam Francezca told us what to do. She instructed us to restart all of

the computers. There are 26 computers, when we enter that classroom. After a while, at

some comouters we encountered an error while attempting to reset the computers, so we

devised a workaround. After a few minutes, we finally solved the problem, so we

proceeded to reset the computers. We arrange the computers once we've finished resetting

them. We haven't reset some computers because they require a password; we asked

Madam Francezca, she said to us to set those computers aside because we wouldn't be

able to reset them.

Second Day

April 29, 2021. We continued our unfinished business on the second day of my

OJT, which is difficult to reset on several computers, and so we asked Francezca to

provide assistance because we do not know how to force them into re-establishment.

After Mrs. Francezca's force reset, we arranged the computers. After that, she told us to

make an ethernet cable connected from the main office to Grade 12 teachers office. The

cabling is slightly difficult because you have to make sure all wires are working. If one

wire is not working, we must start again from the beginning.

Third Day

May 06, 2021. On the third day of my OJT, Madam Francezca assigned some of

our classmates to go to the principal office to do the task. But me, Patrick, and James

went to library to help in carrying old books. It was a lot and we where exhausted. Our

clothes were dirty after lunch so we need to change clothes. We didn't expect that we will

carry books and we didn't bring extra clothes so we went home to change clothes and

came back after lunch to continue. After we finished moving all books we cleaned the

room and after we finished it our classmates from principal's offices also finished

scanning documents.

CHAPTER IV

PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED AND COPING STRATEGIES

Hardships, mistakes, and problems are unavoidable occurrences on one's journey.

Facing and getting passed is an act of bravery, and at the end of the day, you’ll say "I did

it" and my journey was fulfilled. Challenges and problems are important to the part of our

lives that give us experience, and make you learn and help you to become wiser and

stronger.

The most difficult challenge I encountered during my work immersion was making

the ethernet cable. It was difficult especially when cutting the wires and making sure its

arranged. Once you locked it in RJ45, you cannot repeat it again so I really concentrated.

But in the end some wires didn't worked. But after that I reflected what's my mistakes and

I'll make sure to learn from it.

CHAPTER V

RECOMMENDATION

This OJT is of great help to us. I could say it was such a great adventure

at Baua National High School, it was just few days but it has really been a great

experience for me. I felt like a staff member and at first I was nervous. I have had

many things like being independent and doing what our supervisors give to us.
