stakeholders and local partners. The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing was

better their chosen track and make a wise choice after senior high school. Knowledge,

HOME VISITATION
( Narrative Report)
San Roque National High understands the situations of the students who do not
attend their classes regularly. Particularly, the Senior High School reaches out to the missing
students and supports them through home visit. There are some Grade 11 and 12 students
who in the middle of the semester or in the latter part of the semester do not attend school
because of health problems, early pregnancy, conflict with work schedule, family problem,
financial problem , poor motivation to attend school and personal crisis.
The senior high teachers together with the SHS assistant principal, Mrs. Lanie Marie
Israel, conduct home visitation as an intervention for the struggling students and help them
finish their senior high level. They believe that a home visit is a way to bridge the gap
between school and home for students, families, and teachers. In fact a growing amount of
research points to the importance of parents supporting their children’s' learning in the home.
The students must be guided well by the parents when it comes to their education .Thus,
through home visit, parents are updated about the performance of their children in school.
Teachers can directly inform the parents about the behavior and their children’s scholastic
performance
A home visit is one way to deepen the partnership between teacher and parent and
increase the students' chances for success. This leads the SHS teachers to go to remotest areas
of their students only to communicate with the parents and help them to motivate their own
children to finish their school. In case of those who work and pregnant, special arrangements
are made so the learning of the students will not suffer. They are given learning tasks to be
accomplished at home and submitted based on the date given by the teachers. Moreover, the
teacher- advisers have their regular updates when it comes to the accomplishment and
submission of the special tasks assigned to students.
