1.0 Introduction
1.1 Document Purpose
The purpose of this document is to serve as a user-reference manual to all user of
the RADaR Mobile App. This reference manual provides information about
features, functions, and step by step instructions on how to use the different
modules.

2.0 System Overview


2.1 Description
RADaR is a Web and Mobile App that aims to rapidly assess damages of a school
after every hazard like earthquake, fire, typhoon, and others. This allows the users
to identify the areas that need assistance and estimate damages in the affected
area. Hazard and its reports are managed in the web app while the assessment of
hazard damages is submitted through the mobile app.

2.2 Technical Requirements

The mobile app is for School DRRM Coordinators for the submission of the Damage
assessment on the added hazards in the Web App.

users) in your Mobile Phone
STEP - 2. Search DepEd RADaR
STEP - 3. Click the DepEd RADaR in the result and Install

3. Process
1. How to login to the system
STEP - 1. Open the RADAR Mobile Application
STEP - 2. If you have not yet logged in to Gmail, log in to your Gmail
account.
STEP - 3. If you have logged in multiple Gmail account, the system will let
you select your registered Gmail/DepEd account in the DRRMIS Web
Application.
STEP - 4. Your account will be validated if it is existing and access is
approved
STEP - 5. Once validated, you will be redirected to the Mobile App Main
form.

3.3 Main Form


The Main Form contains a list of hazards that are associated with your assigned school.
Basically, if your school is under an affected area of a newly added Hazard in the Web
Application, you will be receiving a text message containing a link to RADaR invite for a
Hazard Damage assessment. If you click the text link, then the hazard will appear in the
list displayed in the Main Form.

1. How to submit a Hazard Damage Assessment?
Damage assessment can only be done to a hazard that is added in the RADaR
Web Application.
STEP - 1. Once you received a RADaR invite in your mobile phone, click the
link to open the RADaR mobile application.

STEP - 2. Mobile Application will ask you to login using your registered
Gmail or DepEd email account in the RADaR Web Application. Note that you
will remain logged in to the mobile application for 6 months unless you
choose to sign out.
STEP - 3. On successful login, you will be redirected to Main Form that
shows the Hazards for your damage assessment. Click on a Hazard to answer
the Damage Assessment.
STEP - 4. If there is a secondary hazard, click yes, and then select the hazard
type. Otherwise, select No. Click Next to proceed.

STEP - 5. In the succeeding parts, you will answer a series of questions from
RADaR 1, 2, and 3. RADaR 1 requires information about damages on
infrastructure, such as academic classrooms. Most of the question requires
numerical data, while other questions can be answered with a simple Yes or
No. You may save your session by clicking the Save icon on the upper right
screen. Once you are done, click Next.

STEP - 6. RADaR 2 is about furniture, learning resources and computer sets.


When you are not ready to provide information, click No, then proceed to
the next set of questions by clicking the Next button.

STEP - 7. RADaR 3 is the last set of questions, asking information about


learners and teachers. Answer the questions, then click next to proceed to
photo submission.

STEP - 8. Photos allow you to attach pictures related to the Hazard. You are
allowed to upload multiple photos.

STEP - 9. Time to submit your report, click the Validate and Submit button
at the bottom of the Photos form. Before submitting your report, make sure
that you have completed all the required fields. You may go back to review
your answers or fill out other information. You will have two submission
methods for your report; one is via SMS. This will prompt you to send a code
via SMS. All you have to do is click send, and you’re done. Another method is
via the internet. Once you click this method, you will receive a confirmation
email that your report has been received.
