1. Abhay ("Fearless") is an Infantry Combat Vehicle (ICV) being developed in India by the
Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Abhay is being developed as a
technology demonstrator for replacing Indian Army BMP-2s. At present, various systems of this
vehicle are in advanced stages of development.

5. The TATA Kestrel is a modern armored personnel carrier developed by Tata Motors
and the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). It is designed and
manufactured in the way of various western APC designs. It was developed with the intention to
replace age old Soviet era BMPs and APCs in service with the Indian Army.

7. The M59 was an American armored personnel carrier that entered service in the spring
of 1954 replacing the M75. It had three key advantages over the M75: it was amphibious, had a
lower profile, and was considerably cheaper to produce. Production ended in 1960, by which
time approximately 6,300 had been built. The M84 Mortar Carrier was a derivative of the M59.
The M59 was replaced in service by the M113 family of vehicles.

8. The M113 is a fully tracked armored personnel carrier (APC) that was developed and
produced by the Food Machinery and Chemical Corporation (FMC). The M113 was sent to
United States Army Europe to replace the mechanized infantry's M59 APCs from 1961.

14. Namer means "leopard" and also a syllabic abbreviation of "Nagmash" (APC) and
"Merkava", is an Israeli armored personnel carrier based on a Merkava Mark IV tank chassis.[5]

15. The Wolf Armored Vehicle is an armored personnel carrier, used mainly by the Israeli
Defense Force. It was created to provide a better handling and better protected armored vehicle
than the M113 (Bardelas). The Wolf is a heavily armored crew carrier, manufactured by the
company Carmor.
