According to Ross, “Philosophy and Education are like the sides of coin, presenting different views
of the same thing and that one is implied by the other”.
education is the strongest instrument for the realization of the ideals of life and a civilized attempt
to bring about the desired development of human personality.
This indicates the fact that plant of education draws its nourishment from the soil of philosophy.
Thus philosophy deals with the end and education with the means. In fact, we can observe that
the great philosophers of all times have been also great educators. For example, Socretes and
Plato, the great philosophers, were also famous educators.
Experts view is given below:
“Powerful education experiences are a result of two fundamental principles:
Continuity and Interaction”
–John Dewey
CONTINUITY refers to how experiences, both past and present, influence the future.
--SPENCER
“The aim of education will never attain complete clearness without philosophy”
--Fichte
