Fingerprint Based Exam Hall Authentication 2020-21
ABSTRACT
Motivation
The authentication plays a major role in any system of the world. Examination system is one
them. The most authentication approach applied in those systems is identity-based
authentication. Though, the reality in a lot of developed examination system is that the
identity-based authentication is not enough to verify the student identification. Also, the
practice hall ticket system has led to several malpractices and identity-theft.
One of authentication solution is the biometric processing based on iris or fingerprint data.
Because of cost related issues, fingerprint has been adopted as an automatic data analysis for
identification. Fingerprint based authentication has a more advantage over hall-ticket based
authentication, since it is possible to access the hall-ticket of a student from unauthorized
person and misuse it in serious events like examinations. Using fingerprint data does not
mean that exam system avoids using the hall ticket and identity card authentication. In
addition to these, examination system will be protected, boosted and made strong by using
biometric process like fingerprint data.
Hence, this mini project is done to reduce impersonation and identity theft in examination
halls by verifying biometric feature of the candidate.

LCD:It nothing but Liquid crystal display, we use 16x2 crystal display to show
message for users.
Buzzer:It is used for indication purpose, when fingerprint is not matched with the
stored fingerprint then buzzer sounds.
