1. Replace the cable and fuse box if any discoloration is evident, as shown in the picture below.
2. Please remove the old
cable from the harness. 3. Route the replacement cable in the same position as the existing one. The front passenger door opening area is shown with the passenger seat removed and the carpet moved aside. Note: The carpet does not need to be fully removed. 4. Ensure that the new cable is not touching or near any sharp edges, and secure in the harness as needed. 2
5. The harness routes
through the passenger rear seat area into the trunk, as shown in the picture. Ensure that the harness is properly routed through the grommet.
6. Route the harness into
the trunk and connect to the Power distribution box mounted on the battery (an E90 vehicle is shown as an example). 7. Torque the battery cable retaining nut to 15 Nm.
