2 Course objectives
2.1 Learning aims for IMDG Terminal Operations.
The following learning aims are applicable for all personnel involved in IMDG.
 On successful completion, the participants shall be able to demonstrate
understanding and know how to handle IMDG in the terminal.

The following course objectives are applicable for the course:
 Explain the dangerous goods classification
 Recognize the IMDG labels
 Name the packaging groups
 Name the proper documentation
 Explain the DG cargo information flow
 Describe the stowage and segregation requirements
 Explain how to work with the IMDG code book

Instructors will assess the candidates’ skills through their answers to the (final)
assessment questionnaires, through observation of practical activities, their motivation,
attitude and aptitude during the course.
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of attendance.
