Course Title Financial Markets

Course Code AE 18

Course Description The main purpose of this course is to provide students with a
broad overview of the Philippine Financial System, the role of the
Financial Markets and Institutions, the study of micro economic
as well as macro economic theories as a basis for understanding
the key economic variables affecting the business. The course will
also cover the discussion of the time value of money, estimating
risk and return on assets, capital assets pricing model and
modern portfolio theory, international trade and international
aspects of corporate finance. The subject systematically reviews
each of the mainstream financial markets and investigates the
various institutional participants and the different types of
financial instruments offered
