Self perception - Self Concept Pattern

The patient described herself as being negative such as having low esteem, lack of confidence, losing
hope on some thing important to her and most of the time, she does not feel any good about herself.
Patient mentions that the things that are making her angry, annoyed, anxious are about her past
mistakes and the future events that will happen. The things she does whenever she can't control some
things is to cry and she does the 5-4-3-2-1 coping technique rule and the inhale and exhale breathing
exercise. She thinks that having someone to talk to and be her support system would help her.

Interpretation: Deviation from Normal

Analysis:

Role – Relationship Pattern

The patient is the eldest and has 2 other siblings. According to her, she is responsible in the household
and to her sibling’s school related activities. She is currently living with her supportive family members
and has never experienced being isolated. She mentions that she belongs to a small social group and has
close friends whom she can approach when she feels lonely. She is also doing fine and pursuing her
studies. She said that her friends and families doesn’t know about her anxiety.

Interpretation:

Sexuality - Reproductive Pattern

The patient was able to express well that she is not sexually active and does not use any contraceptives
as she is not in a sexual relationship with someone. She stated that her menstruation started when she
was in grade 5 in year 2012. Her last menstrual period was on June 2021 and has no menstrual
problems.

Interpretation: Normal

Analysis:
Coping - Stress Tolerance Pattern

Patient states that there are big changes that occurred into her life which she did not mention what is it.
She mentions that her past mistakes are the thing that makes her angry. Her stressors are the activities
in school and rated her stress level which is 9/10. She mentions that she can manage to talk to someone
when she feels stress. She manages her stress and anger by meditating and also a calm environment is
the only thing that helps her when she is tensed. She also does not take any medications, drugs and
alcohol to relax.

Analysis:

Value – Belief Pattern

Patient's perception about religion is mind opening. Patient mentions her accomplishments or goals is to
finish her studies and migrate abroad with her family and talking to God when she is having a hard time
helps her as it is making herself more calm.
