The essence of defining globalization.

The essence of defining globalization is to understand the contemporary

international political economy is an essential part of being an informed citizen.
Understanding globalization is a very important part of learning about our human
involvement with the environment and society.

What is your understanding of the term globalization?

Globalization is mean to be connected with all the world around you. you take
from them and they take from you, whatever this exchange is in the political, cultural
or economic field. globalization have both positive and negative side. It is integrating
the economy of a country with the economies of other countries under conditions of
free flow of trade, capital and movement of persons across borders. It includes.
Increase in foreign trade. Export and import of techniques of production.

Globalization: a process, condition, or ideology?

At the level of process, it is a consequence of the spread of capitalism to every
nook and cranny of the world — a product of the constant revolutionizing of the
relations of production* which is baked into the nature of capitalism’s ceaseless drive
for profit and power.

At the level of condition, it is the outcome of the constant revolutionizing of the

relations of production in every aspect of economic, social, cultural and political life.

As an ideology, it is the natural product of a belief (orthodoxy, even dogma) that

growth — specifically economic growth — is the first and highest priority of all human
activity, a belief that dates to the very earliest thinking on economic affairs and has
come roaring back to prominence with the rise of neo-liberalism in the 1970s and 80s.

III. Directions: Make a short reflection about the link on Globalization (in writing or
recorded output).

Globalization is a widely discussed topic. It is, therefore, not all that easy to
explain. As it´s such a complicated term in simple words. Advances in technology
such as mobile phones, airplanes, telephones and the Internet have made the
growth of transport and communication networks possible. Amongst other things,
this means that people and countries can exchange information and goods more
quickly and in a less complicated way. This process is called “Globalization”.

Because of globalization more affordable products are available for more

people. However, not only does an exchange of products and economic goods
take place, but also of services, knowledge, cultural good and even languages. A
further disadvantage of globalization is ecological problems such as climate
change. The use of airplanes, ships and lorries to transport goods over
international borders is constantly on the increase. This causes more carbon
dioxide to be released into the atmosphere which, in turn, is the main cause of
global warming. Even national environmental standards are ignored.

So many sides of globalization which affect almost all aspects of life causing
me to think that the chain of positive and negative effects will continue to grow
further. What´s important is to realize that globalization itself is neither good nor
bad. It just depends how the people deal with all the new possibilities in the
future.

Directions: Prove that “Globalization benefits every nation” Write your answer in a
200-word essay.

Globalization can create new opportunities, new ideas, and open new markets
that an entrepreneur may have not had in their home country. As a result, there are a
number of positives associated with globalization.it creates greater opportunities for
firms in less industrialized countries to tap into more and larger markets around the

world. This can lead to more access to capital flows, technology, human capital,
cheaper imports and larger export markets. It allows businesses in less industrialized
countries to become part of international production networks and supply chains that
are the main conduits of trade.
The positive effects of globalization policy introduced economic momentary
changes in dynamics of a country, which according to their degree backwardness of its
productive forces will bring economic growth, until they need to expand the productive
forces in their own territory, it is there where the policy of globalization begins to
contradict a that momentary benefit. globalization theorize that a wider array of
products, services, technologies, medicines, and knowledge will become available,
and that these developments will have the potential to reach significantly larger
customer bases. This means larger volumes of sales and exchange, larger growth
rates in GDP, and more empowerment of individuals and political systems through the
acquisition of additional resources and capital.

How does globalization affect culture today? Elaborate your answer.

Globalization has benefits that cover many different areas. It reciprocally

developed economies all over the world and increased cultural exchanges. It also
allowed financial exchanges between companies, changing the paradigm of work.
Many people are nowadays citizens of the world. Globalization has brought benefits in
developed countries as well as negative effects. The positive effects include a number
of factors which are education, trade, technology, competition, investments and capital
flows, employment, culture and organization structure. It creates greater opportunities
for firms in less industrialized countries to tap into more and larger markets around
the world. Thus, businesses located in developing countries have more access to
capital flows, technology, human capital, cheaper imports, and larger export markets.
Globalization decreases the cost of manufacturing. This means that companies can
offer goods at a lower price to consumers. The average cost of goods is a key aspect
that contributes to increases in the standard of living. Consumers also have access to
a wider variety of goods.
To sum up, culture as a way of human life is constantly undergoing change.
Certain developments in modem times have helped to accelerate this process of
change in an exponential manner involving two major consequences: reduction in
cultural diversity; and (increasing hegemonic control in the name of free trade and
freedom of communication, at all levels.
