    GRAMMAR: “Whose…..?” , “Possessive ´s”

    1.We use ´s with a person to talk about family and possessions.


    Eg. She is Enrique´s wife
    That is Sofía´s dog
    Do you like Victor´s house?
    2. We use s´ with regular plural nouns.
    Eg. They´re my parents´ friends.
    Those are the students´ books.
    3. With Irregular plural nouns we use ´s.
    Eg: This is the children´s room.
    4. We use “Whose…?” to ask about possessions.
    Eg: Whose is this pencil? OR Whose pencil is it?
    It´s Maria´s pencil. OR It´s María´s.
    5. We don´t usually use a thing + ´s, e.g. The end of the class.
    5)Answer the questions.
    a.Whose is the bag? (Selene) It´s Selene´s bag. / IT´S SELENE´S.
    b. Whose are those umbrellas? (My mother) They´re my mother´s umbrellas.
    c. Whose is that mobile phone? (Lucas) __________________________________
    d. Whose are the glasses? (the teacher) __________________________________
    e. Whose is the blue dress? (my daughter) ________________________________

    6) Add an apostrophe (') in the correct place in these sentences.

    6 My grandparents house is in Ireland.
