General Dimensional Tolerance For Parts Formed by Press Working From Sheet Metal
General Dimensional Tolerance For Parts Formed by Press Working From Sheet Metal
General Dimensional Tolerance For Parts Formed by Press Working From Sheet Metal
Remarks: 1. For dimensions not requiring specific accuracy for a part to perform its function, the standard
dimensional tolerances shall not apply to individual dimensions but shall be indicated
collectively.
2. Tolerances should be indicated in one of the following two ways (1) or (2) on drawings or
documents:
(1) Select the tolerance from the value table for each dimensional classification.
(2) Standard number and class. Example: NES D 0016-99-A
No. for this Standard
Class A according to NES D 0016
When general dimensional tolerances of blanking and those of bending and drawing are specified by different
classes, it shall be specified clearly.
Ex: General dimensional tolerances of blanking NES D 0016-99-B
General dimensional tolerances of bending and drawing NES D 0016-99-C
2. CLASS
The standard tolerances are divided into three classes: A, B, and C.
3. STANDARD TOLERANCE
The standard dimensional tolerances for punching or bending parts are shown in Table 1, and the standard
bending angle tolerances are shown in Table 2.

ANNEX
1. Purpose of revision
It was concluded by the council that JIS is not practical and change was not applied same as the last revision.
2. Scope
(1) Stamping in the range of application of this standard specifies tolerance for shape, punching of holes, bending,
bending angle. Draw diameter, draw shape (emboss, bead, etc.), parting (gap between panels) are excluded.
Remark 1 shows applying method and remark 2 shows indication method of general dimension tolerance.
(2) When there are dimension indications from coordinates in the design drawing (parts drawing), follow dimension
range of 50 < d ≤ 120 on the Table 1. (Refer to the below drawing.)
