Good morning teachers and everyone,

My name and It is a pleasure for me to be here and present my activity to all of you.

The topic that I chose is Spain because I think it is a country that has a lot to explore and visit. And
because it is the country where I was born . It is a really beautiful country and I want to share it
with you. Let us begin !

Ok, Spain is one of the European countries that offers great cultural diversity, landscapes, climate,
monuments, art, gastronomy, points of origin of the best wine, the best oil and without forgetting
the warmth of its people. It is a great country to be visited.

All its cities have their magic point buuuuutttt since I cannot mention them all, I will tell you a little
about some of them.

Let´s start with MADRID:

Madrid is the central capital of Spain and offers us a number of monuments, museums, etc. to
visit. Between them we have:

1. First: Metropolis Building : It´s one of the main icons of the Gran Via´Street,.
2. Second: Alcalá Gate : One of the five ancient royal gates with access to the city.
3. Third: Royal Palace: It is the official residdence of the King of Spain.
4. Fourth : Cibeles Square and City Hall: It´s one of the symbolic places of the capital
5. Kio Towers: It´s a emblem of the city and one of the first sloping skycrapers in the world.

Then, we have BARCELONA:

Barcelona, is the cosmopolitan capital of the Catalonia region in Spain. It´s known for its art and
architecture.

1. The fantastic church of the Sagrada Familia: was designed by Antoni Gaudí which adorns
the city.
2. The Camp Nou : It´s the largest stadium in all of Europe .
3. Barceloneta Beaches
4. Guell Park: It´s one of the Gaudi´s great works
5. Church of Mount Tibidabo: It is called The Magic Mountain because at the top of the
mountain there is a temple with the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

We continue with VALENCIA, CORDOBA AND ALICANTE:

1. Valencia is the city of the Arts and Science. It is famous for the “Fallas” which are big
sculptures that are burned each March 19th, as a traditional day. There, you can
appreciate the Oceanographic: The larges aquarium in Europe.
2. Cordoba is known for its streets full of flowers with a lot of jazmin fragance and for a
mosque –cathedral and in the tavers you can enjoy the flamenco dance.

3. Alicante is a port city that mixes the beauty of its beaches with the mountains that make it
very attractive for all its visitors.

We follow with GRANADA,

Granada is a city in southern Spain, close to the Sierra Nevada. Famous for its great examples of
medieval and Arabic architecture, like the Alhambra. This fortress includes royal palaces,
courtyards, gardens, and pools from the Nasrid dynasty.

And finally, SEVILLA, SALAMANCA AND TOLEDO

1. Sevilla is a Spanish city characterized by its Arabic architecture. Famous city for its
parties, tapas, flamenco and bullfights.

2. Salamanca is one of the largest and youngest university cities in Spain .

3. Toledo is known for its medieval Arab, Jewish and Christian monuments in its old walled
city.

In Salamanca and Toledo, bullfights are celebrated a lot, and also in Pamplona city where the San
Fermines are celebrated.

Spain offers three main products that characterize it worldwide.they are : Wine, Olive oil and the
serrano ham.

 Regarding the Spanish wine, the country is considered the 3rd producer of the best wine
in the world.
 Another very important product is olive oil called Liquid Gold and it also provides great
health benefits.
 and the other product recognized for its taste and texture is Serrano ham.

In terms of gastronomic identity, it has a lot to offer: there is the gazpacho, that is a cold soup
whose main ingredient is tomato.

Paella is the best known food in Spain. Paella arises in the rural areas of Valencia and the peasants
prepared their meals with the ingredients they had in the field.

And last and not least are the Tapas. In Spain the tapas are one of the well-known customs
throughout the world and It is an identity of Spanish cuisine.

Tapas comes from the region of Andalusia.

The Russian salad is one of the favorites tapas of the Spanish.
