Each of the following comments are real reactions posted in response to the UCLA TASER INCIDENT
video on youtube.com. Please read each one and decide which of Kohlberg’s levels of moral development can
be ascribed to the comment. (Use the descriptions of stages within each level as a guide.) Please access the
video through this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5g7zlJx9u2E. Please explain your decision why
you have chosen each answer.

1. there is no right to treat people like this, for whatever they did... they tasered him after lying already
tasered at the ground, maybe now you try to tell me that if you got tasered your able to stand up? Do
something about the circumstances your government lead you in .... poor Americans...

2. Ok I’m what you call an anarchist, but you still got to remember that the guy with the biggest stick is
the one you better listen to. Unless you want to get your ass handed to you... Plus this fucking idiot was
resisting arrest... That is illegal… If the cops are trying to arrest you and you resist, they are allowed to
use force they feel necessary to take your stupid ass in…

3. This is exactly what should happen in a civilized country, because being civilized means having laws.
Laws must be enforced by pain, otherwise why have them. This student got what he deserved... actually
he got off easy. I would have drained the battery on him.

4. He had his ID; he just didn't show it because the police were profiling; he was the only student asked to
show his ID in the entire library. The reason they have that policy is to keep bums from sleeping there, but
this kid had books in front of him and he was sweating over midterms. How can you say someone
deserved to be tased FIVE TIMES for that?

5. Funny how all the students watch like zombies at the situation. They don't even try to stand up to the
police officers. They should just leave him alone and he would go. This is some bias.

6. They are cops, you are not. No I.D. you leave. No leave, deal with cops. No deal with cops, get tased.
Obey the police (the ones with the guns and tasers) They say stand, you stand.
