    Destoner for Roasters of the PROBAT P-SERIES

    System description: Cleaning

    Field of application: Roasted whole Coffee beans

    The essential advantages of the destoner:

    >- Reliable removal of foreign bodies (e.g. stones; glass; metal) whose specific
    weight is heavier than that of roasted coffee.
    >- Frame on wheels allows for easy positioning around the cooler and storage
    in case of non-use.
    );;;> The destoner hopper can be used as an intermediate storage bin and the
    entire assembly can be used to move coffee from one point to another.
    >- The quality of the roasted coffee is increased by the use of a destoner
    >- Additional equipment in the chain of coffee processing such as grinders and
    packing lines are spared from damage by removing foreign objects.
    );;;> High quality paint and hardware ensure long lasting use and low maintenance.

    FUNCTIONING:

    The roasted coffee is discharged from the roaster cooling tray into the
    feeding bin (destoner boot) of the destoner unit.

    A fan sucks air through the destoner boot and the destoner bin. In the
    destoner boot the coffee flows in a dosaged way through a slide gate to an
    inclined screen. A partial flow of air is sucked upwards through the screen.
    The roasted coffee beans are picked up and carried with the air flow
    upwards.

    The air stream is carrying the beans into the destoner bin.

    Stones and all other heavier particles are not being sucked away due to the
    difference in weight. Those pat1icles will remain in the bottom of the destoner
    boot and can be removed through an opening in the bottom.

    The destoner fan exhaust air is routed through duct work to the outside
