    Removal

    1. NOTE: There is no bearing for the stud shaft. There is a seal only.

    Remove the halfshaft assembly. Refer to Section 205-05 .

    1. Special Tool(s): Handle 205-153. Installer, Axle Oil Seal 205-990.

    2. Install the halfshaft assembly. Refer to Section 205-05 .

    REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

    Axle Assembly

    Removal

    NOTE: Steps in the removal procedure may contain installation details.

    1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to Section 100-02 .

    2. Remove the rear halfshafts. Refer to Section 205-05 .

    3. Remove the rear subframe. Refer to Section 502-00 .

    4. • To install, tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).
