In compliance with the directive of the Secretary of Justice in his

extremely urgent Memorandum dated 19 September 2016, on the
implementation ofDC No. 037, series of 2016 (Institutionalization of the
“Drug-Free Workplace Policy” and “Adoption of Guidelines on the Conduct
of Drug Testing Program” in the Department of Justice), the undersigned
respectfully reports that in OPP-Leyte, the following are now in place:
1. The Drug-Free Workplace Committee or Assessment Committee,

WORKPLACE. LET’S KEEP IT THAT WAY” is now on display at
a strategic place in OPP-Leyte (Photograph, attached).
Further, we have written PDEA to give us a cost estimate of the drug test
for the 39 personnel (prosecutors and staff) of OPP-Leyte, as well as the
available dates of their chemists to administer random tests on the
employees under the supervision of the Drug-Free Workplace Committee or
Assessment Committee in the Office of the Provincial Prosecution-Leyte.
We have also written the DOH Regional Office requesting them to

visit our office on the deleterious effect to the body of dangerous drugs
abuse.
