Case study:

Based on the following specification of personal computer,

Question:

1. Discuss the detail of given specification of the personal computer.

 7-Bay Mid-Tower Case

Mesh front, top, bottom, side and rear panels for passive cooling. Bottom and
side panel supports mounting three fans. It included 2 SuperSpeed USB 3.0
ports ,2 USB 2.0 ports ,1 USB 2.0 Super Charger port ,1 Microphone in jack
and 1 Audio/Headphone out jack.

 Intel Pentium Dual-core Processor 2.80 GHz

A good basic processor that hits the sweet spot of price-to-performance for
most users' needs. Improved data transfer and fast higher performance.

 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM
The 2GB Computer DDR2 SDRAM is a dynamic memory module with
removable attachments, and it uses PC2-5300 components to maximize
bandwidth and processable MHz with a 240-pin addition.

 3mb L2 cache
A 3MB L2 cache usually provides better latency than a 6MB L2 cache.
Latency refers to the amount of time it takes to access information. ... Because
of this consideration, a multicache system with smaller caches on each level
provides better performance than a two-cache system with larger caches.

 6 USB 2.0 ports

has a special high-output charging port that can provide up to 2A of power
while charging It is has big expansion. Then can connect your mouse,
keyboard, external hard drives, flash drives and more on.

 256 MB DDR2 Nvidia Geforce PCI graphics

The GPU supports the PCI interface and requires one slot on the motherboard.
This model requires up to 50 watts of power.

 Sound Blaster digital Sound Card

Sound cards convert the digital samples back into analog waves for the
speakers using digital signal processing (DSP).

 56 kbps Internal Modem

A modem that plugs into an expansion slot within the computer. Unlike an
external modem, an internal modem does not provide a series of display lights
that inform the user of the changing modem states. Dial-up connections are
able to provide users with a 56Kbps bandwidth, with the 56K modem only
becoming available in 1998.

 320 GB SATA 7200 RPM Hard drive

This option offers a large storage capacity, advanced formatting, SATA data
transmission capabilities, and 7200rpm disc speeds for performance. The
ultimate benefit of higher HDD density and better yield at a lower cost per
gigabyte.

 24X DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive

It has a maximum speed of 8X with DVD and 24X when used with CD-ROM.
RW stands for "rewritable." Can erase and rewrite the information many
times.

 Full-Sized Keyboard with Numeric Keypad

Additional control keys mean faster productivity. The Magic Keyboard with
Numerical Keypad nearly doubles that with 19 F keys, plus full-size up, down,
left, and right arrow keys. Convenient in 10 numbers packed tightly into a
square. Once you get used to them, you can continue typing without ever
having to look down at your keyboard or switch to your mouse or trackpad.

 Microsoft IntelliMouse
It was asymmetrical and designed for right-handed users. Microsoft called it
the "most radical computer mouse technology and design advancement" since
computer mice were introduced in the 1960s.

 17” Flat Panel Display

Excellent value with large viewing area helps boost productivity. Up to 1280 x
1024 resolution and 800:1 (typical) contrast ratio for clear details and accurate
color. Newly redesigned backlight technology reduces power consumption.

 HP Officejet Pro K5400

The HP Officejet Pro K5400 is a low-cost, high-quality color inkjet printer
targeted at small- and medium-size businesses. It's also a decent choice for
college students who need high-quality text prints and can afford more than a
super budget printer
