Name of Student: Deepak Agrawal Roll No. …………………

Name of Village: Khodiyar Name of NGO. …………………

1. What did you learn today?

I got to learn about so many different perspectives and problems that people living in
village have which we as town folk seems not to relate with.
Issues which earlier seems to be very negligible to me happens to be a huge problem
for the people of the village. For instance , many people face issues due to lack of
proper identification documents and formal bank accounts. The main reason for that is
the reluctance of people to accept the banking system and to trust their money with
other institution like bank.
Also people there don't have proper awareness about different welfare schemes and
initiatives of the government due to which they didn't get the benefits of that
On the other hand , I also learned a lot about their lifestyle and relationships. For
instance , the eating habits of the villagers are very good which includes eating
healthy and fresh food from their own fields and consuming almost zero junk food.

2. What were the main ideas/discussion areas?

We covered several topics during our discussion.

First of all we briefly discussed about different welfare schemes by Gujarat
government and tried to share as much information as we can to the people of the
village. We briefed them about schemes such as Mukhyamantri Pashudan Sahayak
Yojana , Dinkar Yojana ,etc.We also informed them about some key summary points
of state budget which came last year.
The most important theme of our discussion was COVID situation and the
vaccination scenario in the village. We got to know some statistics regarding village's
vaccination drive and their healthcare status. It seems that there are some issues with
vaccination supply as well as availability of proper healthcare resources.

3. What did you understand best? How does this relate to your classroom studies?

The entire process of the activity involved multiple things which had some sort of
learnings in one form or another.
Firstly, the team work we had for the task once again proved why we were taught the
importance of leadership and working in teams in our course.I always worked in
smaller groups of 5 members but this time working and coordinating with group
having members more than 15 is new and challenging experience and I may get
chance to apply different management and team concepts I learned in classes.
Apart from it , the most important aspect which I found crucial is communication
skills. In each aspect of this task , some sort of communication is involved whether it
is between our group or with the villagers.I personally observed that having proper
communication skills and understanding people is very important
And the learnings I had from the multiple communication courses/subjects we had
during our class helped me.
I also realised that in classroom we had limited time and examples but applying that
knowledge to real world scenarios helped me to widen my knowledge and improve
the understanding of the theory.

4. Reflection: Describe the learning process or environment. Briefly summarize key

concepts, terms or ideas. Describe how you felt about the lesson, class, or activity
today

To briefly summarise the topics/ideas we covered -

-different problems and their cause
-COVID situation
-Vaccination issue
-Perspective shift
-welfare schemes
-lack of awareness
-lifestyle and relationships

The overall experience of this activity is very new and insightful. Not only I got a
chance of interacting with different peoples but also working on contemporary
topics. The open and flexible structure of this course made it possible to experiment
things and to taje things according to my own pace. The learning process is also open
ended because of which this course will never get monotonous.
