Introduction: stimulation

Teacher : Okay guys, today we are going to learn a new material about
electricity. Our learning objectives are
1. Use a simple model to describe electricity as a flow of electrons around a
circuit
2. Describe electrical conductors as substances that allow electron flow and
electrical insulators as substances that inhibit electron flow.
3. Know how to measure the current in series circuits.

Teacher prepare to project PhET simulator

Teacher : Look at the simulator, this is a simulator about electric circuit. We can
Use this simulator to create some electric circuit easily

Teacher demonstrate to create electric circuits. Students pay attention


Teacher ask the student about previous material

Teacher : Nah, before we continue, who remember how many base quantities
(besaran pokok) ?
Students B : I’m sir. There are 7 base quantities
Teacher : What are they?
Students B : Length, mass, time, luminous intensity, Electric current, thermodynamic
temperature, and amount of a substance
Teacher : Great! That’s right. One of base quantities is electric current. We are
going to learn about electric current and how can we measure. So
prepare your self, prepare your tools guys
Students : Yes Sir…

Problem Statement

Teacher devide 14 students into 4 groups. Teacher give time to the students to try
make an electric circuits

Teacher : Okay guys, you have make an electric circuit. The are some problem we
got from here. how can light bulb turn on? What material can conduct or
cannot conduct electric current? How can we measure the electric
current?
To answer that problems, lets do this activity

Data Collection

Teacher given Worksheets to explore the concept of electron flow and collect
experimental data by using PhET simulation. The students collect the data and find
out how the electron flow around circuit

Teacher explain how the activity procedure based on worksheet

Verification

Teacher ask each group to present the result in front of the class. Students read the
result and conclussion

Summary
Teacher give concept strengthening and the understanding that electricity as a flow
of electrons around circuits

Give Learners understanding of characteristics conductor and insulator
