1. By looking for other sources and literature, what are the controversies or questions on
Freud's ideas?

Based on my research, Lots of material criticizing Freud's ideas. I like his little atheist pamphlet,
but that doesn't cover his therapeutic notions. Try to find material about the break with Jung.
One controversy was about the primacy of the Oedipus complex by Freud and it's rejection by
Jung. Another was the notion that child sexual trauma was almost universal. The Totem and
Taboo doesn't really capture what religion is about. ICivilization and it's Discontents is an
interesting work, but does not convince in regard to the over-powering sexual urges of males.

2. How can you describe Freudian ideas as a scientist?

According to my research, Sigmund Freud can be consider as innovator with a rich imagination.
His ideas back then was unproven and now it was backed up by scientific research which later
proves it. Scientist says that Freud's ideas had a great impact outside the area of mental health.
Also, His ideas were theories, or hypotheses. They truly revolutionized how people thought
about the mind and consciousness, and had large impacts far outside the area of mental
health.Very few of his ideas have been proven to be true by subsequent research.

3.If Sigmund Freud was still alive, what do you think are the major changes he would make to
his theory?

Based on my research, there no need to revise because it's already perfect.

Freud revised his own work four times through his life, adding lenght footnotes that openly
contradicted and criticized his early ideas. In fact all his work in the 1930 is sort of a testament,
a revision pointing to further developments that other psychoanalysts from new generation
should lead on.
