Q3. What percentage of the total number of marbles in YOUR (Suppose that
you belong to any of these four groups and mention which one) sample was
each of the colors? Make a bar chart of the percentages of each color in your
sample. Be sure to label your graph properly in Microsoft Excel.

Answer:

Group B
Total number of marbles 422
White marbles 18.48%
Purple marbles 10.19%
Blue marbles 20.14%
Red marbles 17.77%
Green marbles 19.91%
Yellow marbles 13.51%

Q4. Make a bar chart for the average of all the four groups showing the
percentages of each color marble.

colour marble.

Q5. If there are 4528 marbles in the large container in the front of the room,
a) how many marbles would you predict would be blue based on your sample,
and b) how many marbles would you predict would be blue based on the
average of four groups?

Answer:

A) umber of blue marbles in group B = 85

Total number of marbles in group B = 422

% of blue marbles in group B = (85/422) *100

% of blue marbles in group B =20.14%

Number of marbles in large container = 4528

Number of blue marbles in large container based on the sample = 20.14%*4528

Number of blue marbles in large container based on the sample = 911.94

B) Average of blue marbles = (35+85+73+45)/4

Average of blue marbles = 59.5

Average of total marbles= (242+422+386+406)/4

Average of total marbles= 364

% of blue marbles in average of four groups = (59.5/364) *100

% of blue marbles in average of four groups = 16.34%

Number of marbles in large container = 4528

Number of blue marbles in large container based on the average of four groups = 16.34%*4528

Number of blue marbles in large container based on the average of four groups = 739.87

731 marbles (16.15%*4528)

Q6. If your sample contained 1000 liters of water from Hakaluki Haor and the
volume of Hakaloki Haor is 125,000,000 cubic meters, and each of the marbles
represents fish of that color, how many red fishes would you expect to find in
the whole Haor based on your sampling? Be sure to include your calculations
in your answer.

Answer:

In the sample of Group B

Our findings: No. of total marbles= 422

Out of which red marbles were 75

Assuming that marbles are fishes.

Given that our sample is 1000 liters Conversion, 1000 liters = 1m3

If 1m3 has 75 fishes then,

125,000,000 m3 will have 75*125,000,000 = 9,375,000,000

Therefore, the number of expected fishes in 125,000,000 m3 might be 9,375,000,000 according

to our sample.
