Exercising on work days

I want to exercise more but I work long hours and I don’t have much time. Does
anyone have any advice?

Omar
My colleagues and I go to the local gym at lunchtime. We’re very lucky because
we work at a university and the gym is just 5 minutes’ walk away. We talked
about going every day but we decided that wasn’t a good idea because some
Sanna days we want to do other things. We go every Tuesday and Thursday but only
for half an hour. My best advice is to do something small and do it every week!
I think that you will be able to find enough time if you really want to do it.
It’s also more motivating if you exercise with someone else. You could play
tennis with a friend or football with a team at the weekend. If you like running
Adam I suggest you join a club; this is much better for motivation and you will enjoy
being with other people. In a big club there is always someone who runs at the
same speed as you and it’s a great way to make friends too!
Another suggestion is to do something before you go home. I play wheelchair
basketball every Friday and I go directly after work. This is a good idea because
I go even if I’ve had a bad day. If I went home first I might feel tempted to stay
at home instead.
I used to be very stressed after my journey to work but then I decided to walk
instead of going by bus. Of course, it takes me longer to get to work now (I walk
for an hour!) but I always start the day feeling good. Even when it’s raining I
Seo-yun still walk every day. Walking to work means that I can exercise without thinking
about it. I strongly recommend it.

Subject: Private and confidential: staff training records
Hello
Thank you for starting these new staff training records. Here’s the information I can
remember. Please could you add it to the details you already have?
First of all, some words about Adam from the warehouse. He used to be the forklift
truck driver but now he’s Warehouse Manager. He’s been with us since April 2015 but
he will need more health and safety training soon.
Sofia (I think you know her well!) works with you in the office. She started exactly
one year after Adam. Her official job title is Office Assistant but as you know she does
many things, like helping to develop our website.
Johannes, our IT Manager, joined us in March this year. He’s done a lot of cyber
security training but needs to learn more about data protection. In fact, Sofia should
also do this.
Ana, our new Accounts Manager, will be joining us next week. She’s already
completed her training on our IT systems as she did that with Adam and Sofia. When
she starts we will know more about her needs; we don’t know yet. She might want to
join Adam when he does his management training course next year.
It’s important to record that Sofia did training in customer service but that was a long
time ago.
I think that’s everything for now!
Thanks for your help.
David
