__PROJECT to “Prioritize Reading for the Advancement of the Youth”___________

Problem Statement:
The PHIL-IRI result shows that there are many learners whose reading ability didn’t
match to the grade level they are in.

Project Objective Statement:


To accelerate the growth of students not yet meeting grade ‐level expectations by
reducing the frustration readers belonging key stage three which is the Junior High as well
as the key stage Four; the Senior High.

Root Cause:
__Poor reading habit, lack of reading materials, lack of teacher’s follow-up, weak
implementation of the remediation, poor stakeholders’ engagement, poor reading
center_________________________________
