    Geometry is the mathematical study of all shapes and figures. It can be seen everywhere in our
    everyday life. We live in a world of shapes and here we shall see how mathematics helps us
    understand the basics of geometry. In Geometry, we have several undefined terms. These are the
    point, line and plane. From these three undefined terms, all other terms in Geometry can be
    defined. In Geometry, we define a point as a location and no size. A line is defined as something
    that extends infinitely in either direction but has no width and is one dimensional while a plane
    extends infinitely in two dimensions.

    In real life cases, the point can be a button which is used to fasten or close the garment by
    passing through a loop or hole in the other side. Button is in circular shape which has the
    characteristics of a point. It can also be a magnet which people used to make a tight seal on the
    doors to refrigerators and freeze. It also power speakers in stereos, earphones, and television. The
    line can be the center-line on a highway where it separates the road in order to have a way to the
    vehicles. Center-line on a highway is straight and extends in both directions. It can also be a
    straight hair of a person which also extends in both directions. And lastly, the plane can be a
    piece of paper, white-board, or a note card where we use in writing. It can also be a wall.

    Since the line is straight, no bends, and extends in both directions therefore, the example of this
    is a pencil where we are using whenever we are writing or drawing something. Pencil is
    absolutely straight and no bends. Another example of line is a cue stick which is used in playing
    billiard. Aside from the cue stick is straight and no bends, it also extends in both directions. The
    example of line segment is The rays can be a flashlight since it has a fixed starting point but no
    end point. It can also be a sun rays since it can extend infinitely in one direction, meaning that a
    ray can go on forever in one direction.
