Summary
Sports marketing is one of the types of marketing that incorporates sporting competitions with

corporate culture and business branding. Sports promotion has two reasons, one about sport as a

product and the other regarding sports events as a brand communication tool. In this report, we

use the second form of justification for the perception that sport marketing is a consumer.

Nowadays, with the exponential rise of certain forms of sports, many teams have achieved a

certain height with their own regulation and promotion campaigns, producing various

competitions and professional leagues, but there is no traditional sports coverage culture like the

NBA (National Basketball Association) that is popular across the globe.

The author’s aim in this paper is to analyze the marketing strategies of the NBA. The research

involves the strategic research, the SWOT analysis and the essential successful campaign

techniques that have overcome the other firms. It also involves the strategic planning decision of

the NBA and the implementation of a new approach to improve customer expectation.
