ABSTRACT
 The green engine is one of the most interesting
discoveries of the millennium

 This engine is a piston less one

 Variable compression ratio, direct air intake, direct

fuel injection, multi-fuel usage etc

 It has comparatively high efficiency and exhaust

emissions are nearly zero

 Prototypes of the engine have been developed

 Generators have been produced with the green

engine
ABSTRACT
 The green engine is an actual six phase internal
combustion engine with much high expansion ratio

 It has extremely high thermal efficiency

 It is light and small

 Low cost

 Complete burning
What Is GREEN ENGINE

 Green engine is the internal combustion engine with

some or major modifications in its parts and design.

 The green engine is one of the most interesting

discoveries of the new millennium.

 The efficiency of this engine is high when compared

to the contemporary engines and also the exhaust
emissions are near zero.

 The significance of the engine lies in the efficiency

when the present world conditions of limited
resources of energy are considered.
 Coal, petroleum, natural gas, water and
nuclear energy are the five main sources of
energy

 The consumption of petroleum constitutes 60

percent of energy from all sources

 Green engine is a 6 phase engine which has

a very low exhaust emission, high efficiency,
low vibrations etc….

 Its uniqueness to adapt to any fuel which is

also well burnt
NEED TO INVENT
 Today world is facing the major problems regarding energy crisis.

 Along with this we are facing major environmental trouble due

to increase in harmful gases which are evolved from nowhere
else but the combustion of these conventional energy sources.

 Major portion of fuels is burnt in the engines used for various

purposes like main automobiles, generators, power plants etc.

 Statistics show that, the daily consumption of petroleum all over

the world today is 40 million barrels, of which about 50 percent is
for automobile use.

TECHNICAL FEATURES
 The green engine is an actual 6 phase internal
combustion engine

 Intake, compression, mixing, combustion, power and

exhaust

 Sequential Variable Compression Ratio

 The features are………

 Direct Air Intake

TECHNICAL FEATURES
 Direct fuel Injection

 Super Air-Fuel Mixing

 Lowest Surface to Volume Ratio

 Controllable Combustion time

 High Expansion Ratio

 Vibration Free

 Modular Design
CONSTRUCTION AND WORKING
 The term phase is used instead of stroke is actually
associated to the movement of piston

 But this engine has no piston

 The six phases are : Intake , compression, Mixing,

Combustion, power and exhaust

 The engine has a set of vanes, a pair of rotors having

a no: of small pot like containers

 The engine also contains two air intake ports, and a

pair of fuel injectors and spark plugs
1.Intake
 Air arrives to engine through air intake port
 A duct is provided on the side walls of the vanes
and rotors
 When air moves through duct strong swirls
generates
 Air pushes the vane blade ,imparts rotation in the
small rotors
 The inlet duct ends with very narrow opening

2.Compression
The rushing air from the duct is pushed by the blades
into the small chambers in the rotor
 Compression obtained by such procedure is
satisfactory
 Compressed air in swirling state mixed with fuel
3. MIXING
 The injector sprays fuel into compressed air

 The fuel mixes well with compressed air

 Proper mixing leads to cut CO emissions

 In mixing phase we have ideal air fuel mixture

4.Combustion

 As the chamber rotates at the end of its path it is

positioned before spark plug

 Spark flies from plug into air-fuel mixture

 Denser Charge near spark plug enable lean burning of

charge
5.Power
 The expanded gas rushes out of the chamber
through narrow opening

 Pushing the vane in the process

 Sudden increase in volume ensure that more power

is released

6.Exhaust
As thermal energy is fully utilized, the exhaust gases
bring less heat energy
SIX PHASES OF GREEN ENGINE
ADVANTAGES
 Small Size and Light Weight

 Limited parts

 Multi-Fuels: any liquid or gas fuels.

ex: Methanol

 High efficiency
ADVANTAGES
 Near-Zero Emissions

 Smooth Operation

 Fast Accelerating Response

 Quietness and Low Exhaust Temperature

 Ideal to Hydrogen Fuel

 Highly Reliable

 Low cost
APPLICATION OF GREEN
ENGINE
1.Like normal engine green engine can be
employed in automobiles and in aircrafts, too.

2. Engineering applications.

3. Military use.
4. Mines.

5. Electrical Generators.

6. Ships and submarines.

CONCLUSION
 Pollution is minimized by green engine.

 it’s a new revolutionary engine technology.

 It has unique design

 The limitations have not been determined to

any extent

 Green engine can work with large variety of

fuels which makes it good choice for using
nonconventional fuels like biodiesel.

 The Green engine is serve the purpose to a

large extent
