    THE BAIT OF SATAN COURSE LEADER’S GUIDE

    Welcome to The Bait of Satan Course! We’re so excited that you’ve decided to lead a group through
    this life-transforming teaching.

    There are a few things we want to share with you before you begin.

    First, this is a journey. And as the leader, you are taking the journey with your group. Your
    group will have a unique experience, so please be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading.

    Second, don’t feel pressure to have all the answers. You can lead your group by pointing
    them to God and Scripture. As you pray for wisdom, we know that God will give you
    everything you need to facilitate this course.

    Third, you are not alone. There’s a support team standing by to help you navigate some
    of your group’s specific questions and challenges. Don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s
    anything we can do to help.

    We designed this course for six group sessions, but feel free to adjust it to your needs. Ready to
    begin? Here is our proposed plan of action.

    Before you begin the course:

    Familiarize: Get acquainted with the course’s content and set up your group account.

    Equip: Give your group access to the course by sending participants your designated login
    information. (Please note: We recommend that you encourage the participants to wait to
    watch the lessons until you meet as a group.)

    During each group session:

    Overview: Read the overview for each lesson in the course guide and follow the suggested
    sequence.

    Watch: Watch the corresponding video lesson and round-table discussion. Note: If you
    don’t have time to watch the round-table discussion as a group, then encourage your
    participants to watch the video on their own.

    Discuss: Use the discussion questions provided in the course guide to unpack the truths
    communicated in each lesson.

    Engage: As a group, complete each lesson’s activity. The activities are in the course guide.

    Challenge: Challenge your group to further engage with the message by completing the
    steps outlined below.

    After each group session:

    Declare: Ask your participants to use the Declarations daily. There are some additional
    directions within the Declarations download.

    Read: Encourage the group to complete the Steps to Freedom found in the course guide
    and to read the corresponding chapters in the book The Bait of Satan.

    Do: Remind your group to complete the Take Action challenges identified throughout the
    course.
