y = x 2 + ax + b ,

where a and b are non zero constants.

Given that C has a minimum at ( −1, 2 ) , determine the value of a and the value of b .
( 3)

Question 5 (***+)
The curve C has equation

y = 6 x − 2 x 2 − x3 .

a) Sketch the graph of C .
