PAY SCALES : Professor : 37,400-67,000/- + AGP Rs.10,000/- Associate Professor : 37,400-67,000/- + AGP Rs.9,000/- Assistant Professor : 15,600-39,100/- + AGP Rs.6000/-
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :
1. Professor in Engineering/Technology : Qualifications : B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. and Ph.D. or equivalent, in appropriate discipline. Post Ph.D. publications and guiding Ph.D. students is highly desirable. Experience : Minimum of 10 years teaching/ research/ industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor. Or Minimum of 13 years experience in teaching and/ or Research and/ or Industry. In case of research experience, good academic record and books/research paper publications/ IPR/ patents record shall be required as deemed fit by the expert members of the Selection Committee. If the experience in industry is considered, the same shall be at managerial level equivalent to Associate Professor with active participation record in devising/ designing, planning executing, analyzing, quality control innovating, training, technical books/ research paper publications/ IPR/ patents, etc. as deemed fit by the expert members of the Selection Committee.
2. Associate Professor in Engineering/Technology :
Qualifications : B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. and Ph.D. or equivalent, in appropriate discipline. Post Ph.D. publications and guiding Ph.D. students is highly desirable. Experience : Minimum of 5 years experience in teaching/ research/ industry of which 2 years post Ph.D. experience is desirable.
Associate Professor in Sciences :
Qualifications : Bachelors and Masters Degree in appropriate branch of Science or equivalent with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelors or Masters Degree and Ph.D. or equivalent, in appropriate branch of Science. Post Ph.D. publications and guiding Ph.D. students is highly desirable. Experience : Minimum of 5 years experience in teaching/ research/ industry of which 2 years post Ph.D. experience is desirable.
3. Assistant Professor in Engineering/Technology :
Qualifications : B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. Assistant Professor in Sciences : Qualifications : i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with First Class or equivalent grade where grading system is practiced at the Master’s degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii) Preference will be given for First Class Master’s and First Class Bachelor’s Degree holders. iv) Ph.D. in appropriate field of Science will be given priority.

Application form can either be downloaded from the Institute website www.sliet.ac.in or obtained by sending a self addressed stamped envelope worth Rs.25/- from Deputy Registrar (Admn.), SLIET, Longowal, Distt. Sangrur. NOTE: 1. The Institute will not be responsible for non-receipt/late receipt of applications due to postal delay. 2. Incomplete applications will be rejected without entering into any correspondence. 3. The Institute reserves the right to shortlist the candidates to be called for interview and mere eligibility will not entail any right on the candidates for interview. 4. The number of posts can be increased/decreased by the Competent Authority. 5. AICTE guidelines shall be applicable from time to time.
