personal resources as well as physical capabilities.
Holistic health is an approach to life. Rather than focusing on illness or specific parts of the body, this ancient
approach to health considers the whole person and how he or she interacts with his or her environment. It emphasizes the
connection of mind, body, and spirit. Being healthy means having a balance in the dimension of health.
People differ in their concept of Healthy Body. In the field of Health Education, the concept of a Healthy Body has
implications to the physical, social, moral/spiritual, emotional, mental well-being and environmental health of people.
Considering these dimensions, it can be said that a healthy body is the ability to live a healthy, satisfying, and useful life.
To live a “healthy life” means that an individual satisfies his basic needs like physical well-being, love, affection,
security, and self-respect. He lives happily with other people because he likes them and is interested in them. He has in
interest and desire to serve humanity. He also believes in and exemplifies high ethical standards. Because of his close
