Divide the class into groups or pairs. Let them draw a picture of a mentally healthy
adolescent. Ask a leader to report their output in front of the class. You may use
rubric for viability of their output.

Group Activity
● Provide students with scenarios depicting individuals facing different emotional
challenges. In groups, have students discuss how these challenges may impact a
person's mental health.

● Introduce students to various coping strategies such as mindfulness, exercise,
and seeking support from friends or adults.

ACTIVITY
● In pairs, have students research and present on a famous individual who has
openly discussed their struggles with mental health. Discuss how these individuals
have raised awareness and reduced stigma surrounding mental health.

IDEATIONAL
● Lead a class discussion on the factors that contribute to mental health, including
genetics, environment, and personal experiences.

EXPLORE
● Divide students into small groups and provide each group with a case study
focusing on a specific mental health concern such as anxiety, depression, or
bullying. Ask students to analyze the case study, identify potential triggers, and
discuss possible management strategies.

DISCUSSION
● Introduce key concepts related to the prevention and management of common
mental health concerns in adolescents. Define terms like self-care, coping
mechanisms, and seeking help. Discuss the importance of open communication and
destigmatizing mental health issues.
