WELCOME TO JAFURAH DOWNSTREAM NGL FRACTIONATION GAS
PLANT PROJECT
3
Introduction
• This is a FEED project for Saudi Aramco; one of Wood’s major and
most important Clients.
4
Health, Safety, Security & Environment in Wood
Wood’s approach to HSSE is collected under our “Safety Shield”, a metaphor for
protection that is built on our values and behaviours;
• Commitment to prepare
• Care to engage
• Courage to intervene
Everyone in Wood responsible for raising the shield.
Key elements in helping us to do this are our Safety Shield are our six Safety Essentials
and nine Life Saving Rules, (both of which we utilise on the project); these are a set of
shared HSSE behavioural values that everyone must own. They apply to all our activities,
whether in an office environment or on site.
5
Key Office “House Rules”
6
Intervention
See it.
Own it.
Action it.

Project Overview
• The Unconventional Gas Program has a series of projects to develop grassroots
surface facilities to produce, process and transport gas and condensate.
• The Wasit Gas Plant will be required to process an additional 140 mbbl/d of C2+NGL
initially which shall be exported through a pipeline system to the Wasit Gas Plant
(WGP). This load will grow over future years, the growth may be processed in other
Aramco facilities.
• At Wasit, currently there is an existing NGL fractionation train with design capacity of
240 mbbl/d of NGL feed. Debottlenecking scopes are also included for the existing
train.
• To accommodate the additional 140 mbbl/d NGL load, a new NGL Fractionation train
2 at WGP, with the associated utilities, to provide the capacity required to process
the anticipated flows is being engineered in this FEED. The facility will produce
Ethane, Propane, Butane, Pentane/colored-bodies and Natural Gasoline. 5 export
lines. The key interfaces being the import and export lines (by the IK team) and with
the existing Brownfield plant.
• Wood are producing a single LSTK EPC IFP package and addendum for the WGP
expansion.
