Jump Rope Group Performance

Directions
For this group assignment you will work in groups of 6-8 students to create a 3
minute jump rope routine that demonstrates a minimum of 6 different jumping skills
using long and short ropes, hula hoops or other individual props.

Timeline Tasks
Week 1(1/10 - 1. Write your group member names at the top of the Rubric Score Sheet (8

3. Brainstorm an appropriate song to use. Decide who will download it to
play
4. Beginning practicing skills that you could use in the routine
5. Choreograph the first minute of your routine

Week 2 (1/20 - 1. As a group, choreograph the remaining 2 minutes of your routine.

Directions: Follow the checklist for guidance on what you should do and have
done for your performance. Check off each step as you complete each task.

❏ Listed EQUIPMENT- hula hoop, ball etc or other props in the performance

❏ Picked a school appropriate song (appropriate language and content)

➢ Must have the song downloaded. Teachers can’t use their phones to
play a song for your group.

❏ Worked as a team to come up with a routine

❏ Jump Rope Routine is 3 minutes long (time it to make sure)

❏ Routine has at least 6 different jump rope skills- All students must perform!

➢ Consider all of the skills we have been learning at school

❏ Everyone is active in the routine

❏ Worked as a team to create a storyboard

❏ Final Storyboard is approved by all group members
