WHAT I HAVE LEARNED

Sports facilities are classified into two, based on their use – indoor or outdoor. Sports equipment refers
to those disposable items and materials used in sports such as balls, rackets, jerseys, foot-wears and
other training essentials. Both sports equipment and facilities are important in achieving successful
sports events.

Explanation:Sports facilities

Sports facilities or venues are the place where the sports event is being held. Types of sports venues are
Baseball park – a venue where baseball is played
Swimming pool – a venue for holding swimming events

Sports equipment
Sports equipment are also referred to as sporting goods and materials. They can be the sportswear,
apparel, gear, or tools that are needed to enter into a game.

Balls – used for sports utilizing balls such as basketballs, football, badminton
Racquets -    used for racquet sports such as tennis, squash and badminton.
Flying discs – used for sports such as freestyle, frisbee, and disc golf
Bats and clubs - are used for sports such as baseball and cricket. Clubs are used mainly for golf   
Nets - are used for tennis, volleyball, football, basketball, hockey and badminton.

In this lesson i learned about playing badminton and knowing a sporti must observe the badminton is a
sport then can help you be productive and healthyas a student it is important for me to be productive
and stay healthy so i would not be exhausted and stressed

Activity 1.2 Understanding Facilities and Equipment


EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES
EQUIPMENT- is a necessary item for a particular purpose.
It can be a purpose of carpentry, office works, etc.FACILITIES- this is a place, amenity or even a piece of
equipment that is proVided for a particular purpose.
Explanation:
COMMON EQUIPMENT USED AT HOME:

1. Mixer and Oven - Types of equipment used for Baking.

2. Washing Machine and Flat Iron- Types of equipment used for clothes.

3. Aircondition- Equipment used to create a balanced temperature

in the area or facility.

COMMON FACILITIES USED AT HOME:

1. Kitchen Area- a place where cooking and baking are done


2. Washing Area- a place where washing of personal items such as clothes.

3. Bedroom- a place where anyone can take a rest.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED


1.Ettiquette is the customary code of polite behavior in society or among members of a particular
profession or group
2.Sportmanship is fair and generous behavior or treatment of others, especially in a sports contest.
3. It enhances the social aspect and breaks down the barriers in communication of every individual. it
helps in showing respect to others and having fun. protects the feelings of others and maintain friendly
relationship between people. lastly, by doing your best others are also encouraged to do their best.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED


1. I usually experience sprain in some parts of my body. If I didn't start with a warm up, for sure that my
body will ache the day after playing a sport
2. The Athletes that got injured are Rory Mcllroy his Ankle ligament after playing Football, James Blake
who crashed into a net post and accidentally injured himself while playing Tennis and David Beckham
who snapped his Achilles Tendon while Playing for the team
3.Basketball: Head/Face injuries, Foot/Ankle Injuries, and Wrist/Hand Injuries
Volleyball: Ankle Sprains, Finger Injuries, and Low-Back Pain
Track and Field: Hamstring Strain, Shin Splints, and Rotator Cuff Injuries
Lawn Tennis: Wrist Strains, fractures, and carpal tunnel syndrome
Combative Sports: Dislocation, Neck Injuries, Bruises
Softball: Neck Pain, Tennis Elbow, and Tendonitis
Badminton: Ankle Sprain, Jumper's Knee, and Achilles Tendon Rupture
Others: (Swimming): Neck and Low Back Pain, Bicep tendonitis, and Rotator Cuff impingement
