Company Profile
AKCL is an acronym that stands for All Kids Can Learn, and AKCL.org is an organization that
aims to provide quality education to children with special needs. The service business intends to
provide online education. Considering the pandemic, the organization chooses to conduct online
education so that the special children can learn and stay safe at the same time.
The company believes in the capability of every child and aspire that through the education the
organization will provide, the children can develop their skills and knowledge. ACKL company
offers quality SPED (Special Education) to the children with disabilities that are in need and
prioritizes educating students in a way that addresses their individual differences, disabilities,
and special needs. ACKL.org aims to help hone and assess talents and skills of special children.

Business Rules
Since the business revolves around the field of special education for the students with special
needs, only teachers who have mastered special education are qualified to instruct for the
education project of the organization. The employees with their respective roles should remain to
do only their work unless they are urged to do otherwise. All employees are advised to keep the
workplace nothing but professional as it is a school for minors with special needs. Instructors and
administrators should be extra careful in terms of being a role model to them The SPED teachers
and psychologists should also be registered to serve as an assurance that they are qualified for the
professions. There are also rules that should be observed in an online learning setting such as
looking formal and presentable, creating a safe and engaging learning environment and being
sensitive about bringing up certain topics that may not be age-appropriate for students. Things
that children see and hear may seem right to them because they see other people do it.
In terms of payment, there is an initial payment of 30% percent of the whole year’s tuition fee,
and it can be paid for monthly. If the student's guardian wants to pay the whole tuition fee, then
they would earn a five percent discount. The guardians will also sign in the registration forms for
the terms and conditions of the school, and if the company violates any of it, consolation will be
applied and vice versa. Dissatisfied guardians are ought to communicate with the certain issues

The business process begins as soon as the applicant’s requirements are submitted online or
directly to school. If submitting directly to school, the customer (guardian of a student) will be

a. Problems Encountered
Starting an educational institution during the time of pandemic is very challenging. Not to
mention already existing education systems are struggling. Face to face classes in our country are
yet to be allowed because of the health risks the COVID-19 virus imposes. Despite the
circumstances, the organization greatly believes that education is of dire necessity for the
children. The focus of the organization will be the children with special needs as they require
more attention and care than the average student. The first problem encountered by the
introduced 3 modalities of how learnings shall be delivered in “new normal”. These are Distance

is most effective for the potential students' learning. The second problem the organization faces
is related to the first problem. That is making a connection with students on a personal level and
effective homeschooling. Making a connection through online means is a difficult task. The
education institution needs a platform where they can communicate and monitor the progress of
the students' learning and spend more time and attention catering to their special needs in terms
of education.
b. Proposed Solution
The solution to the first problem is choosing the online option, homeschooling. Homeschooling
is much more convenient for the SPED students because they get to learn without leaving the
comfort of their home and both the teachers and parents can monitor the progress and behavior
of a student. It is also important to minimize their physical interactions, lessening the risk of
getting covid. The homeschooling option also generates the most interaction with instructors as

The solution to the second problem is the creation of an online learning system that is similar to
learning portals. A learning portal is a gateway to all the courses, resources, and instruments that
facilitate teaching and learning. Technically speaking, it’s a website that acts as a repository for
teaching and learning materials. It’s a place where you store all your documents, podcasts,
videos, presentations. (Elearningindustry.com). Through this system the online learning of SPED
students can be made effective by the teachers. They can use the portal as a way to interact with
the students and make sure they are learning as well as having fun. They can track the progress
of the students and post additional content for better understanding of learning materials. In
addition to that, in learning portals, the students can communicate with other students.
c. Functional Requirements
This online learning system shall function as an online learning platform for SPED students. It is
expected to act as a virtual classroom. Lessons can be presented through it and everyone can
interact with each other through the system. Assignments, examinations, announcements and
course materials can be posted through the system. First, the teacher will create a class and
students can join the class using their personal email addresses. Once, they have joined the class,
they will be able to view the assignments and announcement their teachers post. First thing that
this online learning system does is to let teachers create classes and using the personal
information of prospective students, invite them to join the classes and register them as members
of the online platform. Once they are already members, the system enables them to log in
anytime and avail of the services intended for the members of the online learning system. Parents
can also schedule appointments to in-house therapists for special needs and can also view
confirmation and approval of their requests. Instead of having multiple employees to do various

tasks for the customer, this system performs them all and make use of the saved customer
information for further evaluation by sending the said information to its respective department,
the research and development team. This online service appointment system is capable of user
interaction, data storage and organization and data processing will not only speed up the
company process but also makes the service convenient to its customers and employees.
d. Non-functional requirements
performance in terms of response time. A fast response time means a shorter queue which
benefits both the company and the users. (Parents and students). The online learning system
should be able to handle a lot of users without experiencing slow down. Some websites slow
down due to traffic. The organization sees to it that the website is maintained regularly and
conduct early troubleshooting to avoid great problems in the future. The advantage of this
learning system is that everything related to the education and therapy of the SPED students can
be accomplished by using the aforementioned online system. The online learning serves as one
convenient platform and there is no need to use different services anymore. The online learning
system also offers high-end security and file organization as the input and output of information
gathered from the students are put in the company's database rather than storing them into
physical folders and documents through hard copies which is less inefficient and much more

covered by the system will mostly include customer's personal information such as name, age,
the specific disability and contact information of parents. The information about the disability be
it intellectual or physical, shall serve as basis for the organization’s approach in educating the
student and arranging therapy sessions and consultation for the subject, and thus will also shape
how the service is provided by the organization. The customer's personal and identification
information is also important for the system as this will serve as the basis for their membership
in the online learning system. This membership validates the right of the customer to avail of the
said service and be updated on the company's new services and products in the future.
F. Delimitation
Aside from the given scope of the system, it will also need to define its delimitation. The system
differences, disabilities, and special needs. This process involves the individually planned and

special services such as therapies and consultation for the parents to better teach them how to
address and provide the needs of their children. The service provision and company’s online
learning system to be used will be limited to the Philippines. The organization’s goal is to
strengthen and improve special education in the Philippines through providing it. The
organization hopes to inspire more and spark the interest of people in providing the appropriate
education for the children with special needs in the Philippines. Many of us understand that

of enabling the education of the students to be inclusive but we really have to look at it in

For the online system to run and be completely monitored, the company will have to use a
complete PC set. This set is composed of a monitor, a CPU, a mouse, and a keyboard. These
parts are to be used in the input, processing, and output of data that will be used in running the
online learning system a installed in the company. The printer that will be provided will be used
for scanning and printing documents needed by the employees or the customers. As equally
important as the PC set, for the online learning system to run, a good internet connection is
required. The company will use an internet connection plan in order to sustain the processes in
the online system. The wi-fi will also be used in spreading word about the business in social

Through the proposed system, customers will be satisfied with how the company carries on with
its procedures and operations. This satisfaction will lead to recommendations of the service to
other people, increasing the company's marketability and profitability. By doing so, the name of
the company will be more known and advantage to other competitors will be furthered. The new
system will be appropriate and suitable for the company's day-to-day operations as it functions
automatically and processes data more efficiently. This indicates that the system is not only cost-

the agreement between the system developer and the company, the rate oof the system shall
depend on the number of hours the developer worked on building the system.

instead of using four reams of bond paper a month, the company decided to use only two. Still,
the company incurs its bond papers from the same supplier at the same price.

After the installation and utilization of the proposed system, AKCL was successful in their goal
which is provide education services to SPED children through their online learning system.
Because of the newly proposed system, the company was able to perform their processes while
not risking the safety of the children and parents to the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this
system, customers do not need to leave their respective homes to educate their child and to avail
of the services offered by the company. At the same time, the customers can already register
themselves and become members of the company, having access to all upgrades and updates in

improvements in the functions of the information system. These improvements should focus on
minor problems being faced by the company. At the same time, researches on current updates
