I.OBJECTIVES

A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of uses and maintenance of food (fish)
processing tools, equipment, instruments and Utensils in food (fish) processing.
B. Performance Standards The learner uses and maintain appropriate food (fish)processing tools, equipment,
instruments and utensils and reports accordingly upon discovery of defect/s.
C. Learning Competencies  Identify the different tools and utensils used in food processing and its
function. (TLE_AFFP9-12UT- 0a-1)

IV. PROCEDURE
A. Reviewing previous lesson or The teacher will show pictures and ask the following:
presenting a new lesson  What can you say about the pictures?
 Do you know what tools are these?
 Who has been to the market/ specifically in the fish section?
 Have you seen the different equipment or tools that have been used by
our local fish vendors? (Localization)

B. Establishing a purpose for the Activity 1: (Word Search)


Lesson Directions: Find words related on tools and utensils used in food
processing. (Applied knowledge of content within and across curriculum teaching
areas)
C. Presenting examples or instances Activity 2:
of the lesson Directions: Show a smiling face if the tool is familiar to you and a sad face if
it is not. In the opposite box under remarks show thumbs up if you know how to
use it and thumbs down if you don’t.
