Home health nursing is a nursing specialty in which nurses provide varied home care to patients
of all ages. Home health care is intended for clients that are well enough to be discharged home, but still
require skilled nursing personnel to assess, initiate and oversee nursing interventions.

That is why home care nursing is important to the patient’s recovery because you'll be provide
one-on-one care at home. These patients can be elderly, critically ill, or disabled, or they may be
recovering from a surgery, injury, or accident. In-home nurses can also assist pregnant women and new
mothers with ongoing care, support, and education. It also helps keep patient from further infections
and they can heal better in a more relaxing zone.

needs and ensure their well-being. A good home nurse can tend to the demands of various patients,
from pregnant women, kids, old-aged, persons with disability to critically-ill individual.

home. In-home care services can help someone who is aging and needs assistance to live independently;
is managing chronic health issues; is recovering from a medical setback; or has special needs or a
disability. Professional caregivers such as nurses, aides, and therapists provide short-term or long-term
care in the home, depending on a person's needs.

 More independence – Loss of independence can be a worrying factor when considering care
options. But one of the main advantages of home care nursing care is keeping the independence that
you already have, and choosing to get up, eat, sleep, and socialize when you want to. A home care nurse
can even assist you on outings so that you gain more independence because of home care.

 Family participation – A significant advantage of home care is the opportunity for your family
and friends to be a larger part of your care plans.
