ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
1st quarter CY 2022
Community-based correction not just only benefit the clients themselves or their
families but the community as a whole. For instance, being placed in the community, they
can contribute to the economic welfare of their respective communities as they become tax
contributors rather than tax eaters should they be put in jail.
However, not all convicted offenders are eligible to avail such privilege since the
safety of the community is still the primary concern of the Probation Law and the grant of
probation is only given/afforded to the petitioners who categorically meet the basic
qualification of the law itself.
Those who fortunately availed the privilege of probation have undergone strict
monitoring in line with the full compliance of their respective conditions. Such conditions
entail various rehabilitation programs in order to guide them in the streamline of righteous
behavioral conduct.
Thus, on January 4, 2022, right after their spiritual clarification seminar as part of the
Therapeutic Community Ladderized program, a surprised drug-testing ensued in view of
the previous yuletide celebration. Unfortunately, two (2) of the probationers yielded
positive based on the drug testing result. These probationers were already noted and
waiting for the court’s resolution for proper disposition.
In the following month, apart from their monthly mandatory reporting, home and
community visitations were conducted as part of the monitoring process to
determine/validate if they have strictly complied with their other conditions.
